i'm not sure what is wrong. but i guess what you can do it uninstall the update service and re-install it. and see if that works for you. |

What will happen if i flash the wrong firmware?
It will not boot up at all?
Will the phone still boot up and can be use?
If it still usable will my 3G signal totally lost, or change to the different firmware? |

if you flash the wrong firmware you will not be able to get future updates for your phone.
you need to flash your phone to it's correct models X10a firmware with X10a phone and X10i firmware with X10i phone.
also, the file hosted before appears to have disappeared. i've uploaded the files myself and corrected the link on the first page. |

It seems some people have indicated that there is a new "com.sonyericsson.cs.usbflashnative_2.10.5.11.jar" which causes the old "com.sonyericsson.cs.usbflashnative_2.10.4.22.jar" you have posted to not work anymore for re-branding.
If this is true, can someone please upload new versions of those files we need to do the re-branding given the new updated JAR file?
I'd like to try the rebranding this coming weekend if possible |

After step 2 I also did not: 1) get a prompt to over rite an existing jar file, and 2) recieved a usbflash txt file that was created.....this did not occur.
If I understand correctly from the last couple of posts here I am assuming that this procedure no longer works??? |

I have a reply from XDA forum member who has successfully re-branded their X10a /w X10i firmware back to X10a firmware. I've not tried this yet, but it seems to have worked for him. Here is his message to me.

yeah np.
if you want to post this in a thread that'b great i don't have tha much time but i'll quickly let you know the steps.
so first thing first head over to this site,
http://www.omnius-server.com/news_omnius_v0_03
make an account for the software and once the software is installed add your account information under "settings > server settings".
now thats the first step, the second is to get the correct firmware in your case it'b this decrypted rom:
http://hotfile.com/dl/43225669/598add6/a_WWE_R1FA014_DEK.zip.html
once that is downloaded extract the phone.zip and the android_xx.zip from that archive into a place where you know you'll find it.
head back into the software, and select identify, than follow the instructions it gives you. once it is identified, boot the phone back up into android. than click flash, choose the two roms:
http://img203.imageshack.us/i/flashy.png/
phone.zip goes into the "application box" and the android_xx.zip goes into the cusomization file.
hope this all works for ya, if you have any problems let me know.
-andy.
