i've not had any problems with cpwarehouse as of yet. But, whoever you spoke too should have known about this product as it's in their current brochure right at the front as a forthcoming product!

This is getting faintly ridiculous!! First it was some units before Xmas, then end of Jan, now end of Jan is within reach it's end of Feb. I would be prepared to wait a month, except they will invariably delay it again. Does this phone really exist!!?  None of this has been officially released anywhere, all we get is second had information that may (or may not) be guesswork.
If there is no UK version available by mid-Feb I'll be cancelling my order, taking a day trip to a European state where it is available and buying it there. And if it brings the UK mobile phone network down in a pile of steaming junk then so much the better...
I mean, for god's sake, 3g is being advertised on UK tv. WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT SONYERICSSON UK!!!!!

There is an ad in phones for sale for p8`s at about £450 "cheap p800`s for sale".
Mine came from philippines a month ago & it works a treat on UK networks. |

What i don;t understand is, if it's not out the the UK, how comes fwdcellular have them (with UK spec)? |

All p800`s can be set with english language, but once done they can`t be changed back.
The p800 is the same all over BUT theres a rumour that a specific UK software will be on the UK release batch, i do not believe this.
Although i DO believe that some networks here will have it customised with startup logo`s ETC. but as they are open software phones this will be superficial only.
The delay is more likely quality control & problems with hardware suppliers, my unit has a slightly different colour battery cover to the ariel cover i`m not bothered but as a launch unit it`s a bit off. |

if you really want it and don't like buying trew internet take a visit to belgium. we will have the P800 released in all stores whit in 3weeks. and the T100 on 15-02 |

I have a "UK" P800. There is no "UK" specific customization or special software. The only thing is when you select a language for the phone UK English is the only choice available. ope this helps. And, yes, the "import" phone batch I bought was specifically designed for the UK - down to the charger plug! |

Thats all very well except without some special software version, it is unlikely to ever get released on Orange, as it doesn't have line 2 support!

I have just spoken to the SE E shop and they still do not have a confirmed date even today the 24th. I spoke to Emma and then to her manager Adam. He advised SE could not release the unit sim free until a networked had released the phone and that was orange, they took all the free stock for the UK and re badged it. The stock the SE shop are waiting for has some new features !!??, A digital zoom function and improved night picture capability. Once they have delivery details he is going to email me the expected date. |

Woohooooo!  I hope the details on the new camera features are right. Haha, take that Orange, in your face . Well, it will be worth the wait if the P800 is going to be better Sim free.

Will I ever get this phone !
I've just phoned SE UK and they have gone from saying sometime during 17th to 24th. To now saying 'We don't have a confirmed date' and are no longer sure when you will receive it !!
Does anyone know when CPW will receive P800's (unlocked) and have them for sell. As I'm starting to wonder if I should go somewhere else.
This is so frustrating !

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good.
I've just phoned the e-shop too. Spoke to Justin. He said they were still expecting the handsets in today. They still dont have a confirmed delivery date, but they should be there today, or sometime this week. He said that someone there had e-mailed SE (in either sweden or denmark - I cant remember which) asking for confirmation of delivery, but they hadn't received it yet.
He did say that anyone that has pre-ordered will have their handsets shipped out with next day delivery, and that if they arrive before 1pm (unlikely if they usually get the delivery at 2pm) they'll be shipped the same day as they get them.
Looks like different stories at the e-shop.
