Just go into the Service Menu, and in Service Tests, GPS, Purge assistance data.
Before I did that I could hardly ever get a GPS fix inside my car while moving, and after doing the above it works better now.

Ok guys. I've hacked my phone (hardware) and gave the GPS antenna a super boost. The coverage is now much better in that it catches full reception (10 satellites) in matter of 5-10mins without activating Network/AGPS. At first, I was a little hesitant but the lousy signals put me off again and again so I had little choice but to disassemble the phone and power in a super self-made antenna.

For those who reported a great improvement in the new FW, have you been using the same settings and nav app? For example, these are the items which must be kept exactly the same for your report to be credible:

Before and after the FW update, these conditions must be true:
1. Previous FW is the second latest one
2. AGPS turned off (or network GPS off)
3. Must be using phone's internal GPS antenna
4. Same nav app version (nav software) and same map data
5. Timed from a cold boot (> 6hrs since the last use of GPS)
6. Phone must be fully charged
7. Weather must be clear
8. Path/route taken must be the same

I'll report back when I can confirm mine is working better without the new FW.

P.S. I'm still on the second latest FW.

The crappy GPS really annoys me. A few weeks ago when I was abroad, the gps decided to stop working...
It couldn't get a fix, even the a-gps didnt work (didnt connect, while internet was working, roaming was allowed).

A full reset didn't seem to work for my Satio.
What I did was clear the gps data, there is an option somewhere in the service menu.

You might have to wait longer. I often wait 15-20mins for mine to lock on a bad day.

Think the new FW really decreases waiting time...

ive updated my phone to the latest FW
i thought it would solve something

still PGS act funny and crazy sometimes
the recalculating, is known issue
but sometime it shows me that am driving on 10 - 20 meters away from where i am
and even if am not moving, it keeps showing that there is a moving speed

am using garmin

i never had something like this with X1

i purged the data but still

so , what shall i do, wait for another update
or take it to service center?

by the way , in service menu , on PGS test
when i went to setting, there is an option " STANALONE "
and its disabled,
what this thing do??

Is the locking now much faster without AGPS?

Yes, I think the recalculation problem is software related or rather, OS/hardware related. Since it's confirmed that Garmin and Ovi suck on Satio, and people using other phones are not, I can conclude that the problem is related to the OS/hardware.

Alrite guys,
I just discover that Nokia Map keep freeze up my phone everytime i turn it on and i cant use other map app since the Navigation icon still there one way to solve it is to restart my phone.
Since i dont like Nokia map that much SO i just uninstall it ha!(im using 3.03) but to be fair, this only happen after the new firmware
I never have any problems with Sygic and Garmin XT (even after the new firmware) they pick up so fast! and work perfect so i dont miss Nokia map at all
im gonna install the 2010 Sygic .. hm... maybe this weekend hopefully it work just like Sygic 2009 version

I use Sycic 10 and it works like a dream (as good as TomTom).
The GPS in Satio is sooo much better then the one from the C905!

Are you sure? Old FW or latest FW?

I use Nokia Ovi Maps and my speed is 10km/hr when I'm stationary. On the (built-in) position applet, I occasionally see sudden burst of speed to 300km/hr.
