The Kanna will feature a 720 MHz processor, I’m guessing it’s the OMAP3630. |

The curvy design brings to mind the PSP Go, quite a bit IMHO.

If Kanna will going to have a capacitive display and a kinetic scrolling on it's entire UI, then I'll give Symbian 5th Ed another try. |

Actually think these two Kanna and Kurara are quite interesting - obviously SFx is a far from perfect OS but if equipped with proper hardware (inc C: and RAM) which looking at provisional specs it sounds like these have been it's not totally hopeless. The dismal reputation comes from the fact it's horrible to use and live with and Nokia have released it on some horribly underpowered overpriced donkeys but it does give SE another arrow in their quiver and an escape route in case Android doesn't pan out now Google's in the game. I sincerely hope they come on SF^2, they really should given the timing and that N97 classic and mini are effectively running it on their current firmwares. It's not a great leap but is what S60 touch should have been (what on earth were Nokia up to for the years since 2007 - 2009? saunas?) at release. Too early I think for SF^3 features certainly too early for SF^3 sadly, quite intersting to see if Symbian can get a decent version out before they become irrelevant (momentum behind other OS's) they really messed up last year taking far too long to get things going and address conumer facing issues but potentially some good things are happening it's gonna be a quetion of getting all the partners pointing the same way at the same speed. So I definitely (surprisingly maybe as I'm such a harsh critic of the OS - it really is vile) think SE should stick with it, yeah getting some UIQ snippets in would be sweet (as if) and SF^4 - 2011 could be good if it can survive this year.
It's really gonna come down to price if they can get them in between Nokia 5800 price |

I like this phone, only thing is im not sure how usable that qwerty keyboard will be, s60 v5 is a nice and easy os to use i think theres nothing difficult or awkard about it i get on very well with it it's just on unpowered devices it does get annoying to use it simply isn't going to perform well with 400mhz and 128mb ram, the same way windows vista wouldn't perform well on 1ghz and 512mb ram, SE seem to have got it right with a 700mhz processer and lets hope for at least 256mb ram so s60 V5 can run nice and smooth and every1 will realise what a good os it actually is.

I can't stand the screen resolution and size, just look at the usual ugly big black frame around it. SE is stingy when it comes to display size and resolution. They are insisting on Symbian OS which only gives 640×360 maximum.
Not to mention that the design is ugly and looks cheap. |
