I do get what bart is saying. Maybe it is because of the shared love of Ericsson but today's phones don't have that something that stays with you for good.
If I were to pick a phone now that almost has soul it will probably be the X10, yes, even with that 'outdated' version of Android it does TRY to bring back the old school soul... I am sounding like I am reviewing a music CD.
In any case it is upgradable, apparently, and has all the right specs covered, great camera based on samples, speedy and powerful processor and an OS that is surely going to evolve into a super OS.
Almost perfect bar the touchscreen only option.
Another phone that possesses some soul is the Else. I think this phone is fabulous! It's just that the manufacturer is small and chances of it being a hit are next to zero in the crowded cellphone arena. Its only downside for me is, again, no physical keypad.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

it's all about loving what you have.

I have to agree with the orignal poster. It's been ages since I last commented on the site and I find my way back here less and less frequently. Why? Cos the magic of those great old phones (the t68 has neer been topped for me) seems such a distant memory... and I also feel unsure what my next device will be. Nothing new in that, except unlike the good old days, the excitment in waiting for 'changeover' day really isn't there anymore. Shame. |
