use another for the moment and then join another operator when your contracts finished (I really have a bad experience with o2 pay monthly since they branded why w705 all over, so when my contract end's I'm joining t-mobile since bad coverage too) just get the c902 as a replacement for the moment, so you still have a good but working phone and then when your contract ends join another network.

Well I have one with latest firmware updated & its really reliable not had any problems with it at all not even a crash. Build is great & so is camera. Mine is sim free £99 from CPWH so not sure what O2 firmware is like perhaps if you go for it you could debrand update & mod the camera. Some people reported memory card problems & battery cover loose on c902 in one corner but I have not had these problems at all its been great

Thats what annoys me the though, the value of the replacements, and the spec of the replacements, compare nothing to the C905.
I do often use Wi-Fi, which non of the others dont have, the camera is also used often.

Well I would tell them that the fact you are paying a monthly contract & they are not providing reliable products. Also say that after 4 faulty handsets they should provide at least a phone with 8 mega pixel & say the w995 is actually cheaper than the c905 now. Tell them under the legal terms of contract they should provide you with working equipment as long as you are paying. If your phone is irrepairable then they should give you something of similar spec & don't let them fob you off they will try & see what they can get away with if you keep agreeing with them I always get my way when I complain. Good luck & if anyone else here has advice

Have stuck with o2 now for about 5 years, and regarding up-grades theyve been very good, also the deal i am now on is VERY good, but their choice of phones is truly shite, the stuff available on-line has no resemblence with the stuff in store, my problem is that o2 is the only provider who has a workable network where i live, however we, me and my better half are no longer going to up-grade via o2, we will buy our phones some place else, and just use their sims, their customer service has been so average of late. |

Well yeah reasons why i left were many. O2 have bitten off more than they can chew now the dream network everyone loved is going down like what happened to Orange once. Go via Carphone

Lol ohhhh dear, it's quite literally like my job follows me home isn't it?
O2 are obliged to provide you with A PHONE. If your C905 breaks (who's hasn't?) they'll either repair it, replace it, or offer you an alternative.
The alternative, is chosen by PRICE not neccessarily by features. The C905 has crashed in price thanks to the hideous reliability, so those phones are the next nearest one available. W995 holds its value well, as does the Galaxy, so theres no reason for them to give you what is NOW a high end handset, compared to your now NOT high end C905. Yes I know the W995 and C905 are practically the same, but in the eyes of handset value, I don't blame O2 for not wanting to give you a phone thats worth a good £100 more to them because you've kicked your toys out of the pram and don't like the choice of similar value phones they've offered.
People moan to me at work day in day out about this, and they bitch about the terrible level of customer service (despite the fact for every 1 person who says that, I can find 10 who say the opposite), but you'd get similar problems in a similar circumstance with most other phone retailers.
Sorry, I don't mean any of this personally, it's just a busy, stressfull time of the year as I'm sure you're aware, and sometimes it's hard to shake it off when you see your work life on your Internet life too lol.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

James hello stranger hope your well. I can imagine how crazy it is in the stores. In Birmingham city centre we have 3 O2 stores and they are always rammed full of people which i guess is good. I will say one thing though that the w995 is now available for only £200 at Phones4U and i sometimes still see the c905 for over £300. But anyway merry christmas
