If it didn't compromise on features then yes I would and already have done so with SE's other Greenheart offerings.

I'd consider these phones. The features aren't so bad. Integrated Twitter, FB AND Myspace are something we haven't seen on other SE phones.
It's a lifestyle choice. Some people care about the environment and the damaging chemicals we deposit when we throw our phones away, and others couldn't give a hoot. It's nice to have the choice, though.

I care and quite agree it's a lifestyle choice. These are ideal for non-techies caring for the environment.
But don't seem to keep up with their own schedule, again. The C901 GreenHeart and Naite are sttill (!!!) nowhwere to be found in their official webshop.
It is reasonable to suppose that Elm and Hazel will become available in the UK sometime in 2012
Cheers!
EDIT: Naite has just cropped up there today, SIM free at £129.99 Waiting for the eco-friendly C901...

I am not going to go into the old climate change discussion. But I will say this.WHAT IS THE POINT? Whatever do China, India & America will only create billions more c02 so what the hellare these phones seriously going to achieve? Nice phones all the same though

It's also about hazardous chemicals being left in the environment - dangerous pollutants. When you consider how many phones are sold and disposed of each and every year (900 million) that's a lot of hazardous waste to have lying around for ever.
At least now the people who care have a choice.

No I do care about the environment but these days everyone is either recycling their old phones for cash or selling them on. The world is naturally changing anyway it always does. But I like the red one looks cool

imo i really dont think there are a large number of people who would consider these 2 phones simply coz they use 50% (i think) recycled materials...but like goldenface said people who care have a choice and for people who dont it has to be priced cheap...FB,twitter,myspace etc coming in the phone itself is a plus...Naite is priced well here in India about 95 Euros i bought one for couple of days back...Elm should be about 50 euros more coz there isnt much to diff i think |

Given that this is not the first time that (most likely (sic!)) fake features appear on the site, their marketing department should consider changing the punctuation in their tag line from
make.believe
to
make-believe
