Thanks mate. By the way did you know the hospital i am in is Selly Oak in Birmingham which is where the injured troops from Afghanistan come. Sometimes we see the helicopters fly over our house as we live around the corner in Selly Park. Massive huge new 1,200 bed super hospital is being built in Birmingham will be open next year. Its the Queen Elizabeth and it looks like a space ship

Glad to hear you're on the mend
Sounds more like an alergic reaction to me though, given it happened so suddenly with no warning. Was there anything different around the green tea you were drinking? Something you've never had in it before? Or was there something laying around in the kitchen or something someone had been cooking that you've never really been exposed to much before? Or even something in the garden if you were by the back door, the wind could have blown something your way and caused it.
I just struggle to believe that it's what you consider a 'poor diet'. For a guy your age, who no longer smokes, who runs around a busy hotel all day (you'd be suprised just how many miles you cover! You probably get more exercise than someone who works in the office for 8 hours and then spends 1 hour in the gym), and you said yourself you don't eat THAT badly, and you're not that old, it's a bit unnessecary I'd say to 'just' blame your eating habits, I really don't expect it's that at all. For a reaction that severe, without it being an alergy, you'd have to be drinking heavy cream in your tea and eating burgers around the clock.
Let us know how it all goes, hope you feel better soon

Cheers mate. Well i never had or took anything out of the ordinary and i have never had a single bad reaction to anything before in my life. I am 17 stone but dont actually look it so i am over weight and my blood pressure was extremely high. I gotta have more tests at 4:30pm today. And no despite having bad sweet things these days and sugar in my tea and such i dont eat junk no more. And yes running around a big hotel all day i can do as many miles as a nurse does in a hospital. I am not stressed either so its all strange but they think my previous years of poor diet have caught up with me. Am standing outside now for fresh air again its too hot in the ward. It was bad though i was burning my whole body and i became breathless and fainted then my blood pressure went wild and its been high all night and day so far

Hmmm, I expect then yes, its pretty much the blood pressure, but I still reckon there's gotta be a reason for it. I hope the doctors find out soon, you're in the best possible place, they work miracles in there

Hope things go ok for you Sean. Popping pills everyday isnt good mate. I have to take one everyday to help keep my blood pressure down. Been on them for nearly 2 years now and they do make you feel tired and drained. I've also had lots of blood tests and everything has come back fine. Last time I checked my checked my blood pressure was 168/98 which is low for me. |

Yes i admire doctors and nurses its hard work. My girlfriend is a nurse she studied at Portsmouth. Its such a long day waiting to be seen the wards are crowded its crazy. An asian guy next to me had a heart attack he was complaining how he had been treated. An old lady opposite crying saying she has had enough and wants to die. Oh get me outta here thank small mercies i have my mobile. They say its safe to use them now I over heard the doctor talking to the nurse about me saying its rare someone to react in such a way with high blood pressure but there have been rare cases of it happening that way. I dont have any bad reactions to anything but anyway another hour i shall be poked and proded again. Oh Rookwise my highest blood pressure went 131/205 seriously they were so worried thats why i came back one doctor was angry that i was sent home with blood pressure that high. That is really high and to think not long ago you advised me on exercise. Better heed that eh? My dad is diabetic but he is ok but does not drink nor smoke and is nowhere near as big as i am

Hey people i just had a sleep after my kidney scan all ok with that. Selly Oak hospital is showing its age i dont know why troops from Afghanistan come here. Next year when that super hospital opens it will be better. Thanks people for all your messages i feel so drained in here but its for the best. My dad he brought my phone charger up. I was laughing with the nurse because one of the blood pressure machines when taking my reading kept making a farting noise It was funny.
