There was a lot riding on Satio and Aino so it's good to learn that they're flying off the shelves. The appetite for SE phones is still there, they just need to get the phones out quick enough.

The appetite for SE has always been there, however their reliability in recent years has destroyed them. IMO
Hopefully they've improved their QA and they continue to increase market share. |

They do tend to come out with winning and market beating handsets every now and again but something happened in the last year or two regarding their quality control which has let them down - not that most manufacturers haven't had their fair share of issues.
I'm not sure if it's who they outsource their manufacturing to or what, but hopefully it's been turned around for 2010.
Satio is good and solid - no reports of design issues as far as I can see. Aino seems to be a trouble free design also.
Good show and long may it carry on.

This kind of thread was posted over at mobile-review.com and the first one to reply to this was the greatest SE hater of them all .
Eventually Sony Ericsson learn from their mistakes by releasing phones with defective parts and unstable software.
When I buy the X10 I expect it to be rock solid. |

Me too.
There is not much to go wrong with the X10 really, no wobbly slider, no camera cover, no funny touch buttons - what could possibly go wrong (SE's famous last words ).

I would be really suprised if this has anything to do with aino, i (personally) have not seen any advertismnets for the aino and the aino isnt on sale on any of the operators website, the Satio is.
I tried to see if there was any way of finding out the Aino success, so i went on the website CEX (second hand phones retailer, where they pay cash for your mobile phones etc). And searched for "unlocked Satio", in total there are around 200 unlocked satios availble at different stores in the UK. I then searched for "unlocked Aino" and there are 4, which really does prove the aino really hasn't had success. And i haven't even included the operator locked Satio's, if i added these up as well you will be looking at well over 300 available. BTW there aren't any locked Aino's available.
