Yes. This is a little bit annoying thing. Maybe one day we will understand politics of SE. Or maybe finally SE will understand needs of us - users of their phones.

Like so many companies , SE does not care what the customer wants, it cares how it can make the most profit with the least amount of effort. Keeping customers happy is hard work and expensive . Tricking customers into believing the Satio was so much more advanced and feature rich and supported was a much cheaper option.

my undesrdtanding is that 3 party software with EQ will not work without the SE API or driver to enable the feature, are you sure the EQ is working, SE need to add this with next update or they will loose loyal customers including me.

I'm already using the LCG Jukebox and the EQ is working

Install Lonely Cat Games - LCG Jukebox media player. It comes with equalizer and internet radio as well. Great app.

Does it have RDS as well ? Or is RDS driven by hardware.

er.... guys....

SE already has a program to add equalizer to satio and vivaz....

it's a program... ( independent from media player )... that works through all of the system sounds, video player, media player and ....

first make sure that you have an updated Satio firmware....

then you can find it on 'Fun and Download' section in SE website... change your phone to satio and search for it in applications... (and of course it's free)

alternately you can download from here- i uploaded it a minute ago:
http://www.4shared.com/file/LkeJ8Z66/Equalizer_U1.html
(if you can not connect with your phone - as you know, you can not download content from fun and downloads with a PC)

it's internet radio not fm radio.

I can confirm LCG is a great app. Just istalled it and it has the features that satio default player is missing.
