Xenon will beat any LED but in except of N86 because of variable aperture is much better than any camphone ever made.
In low light condition N86 working almost like xenon shot (75-90%), but In more darker xenon still beat dual LED down. IMO
N86 is excellent camphone most up-to-date this day they (Nokia) put powerful option like ditigal camera.
Enable to adjust variable aperture and 28 mm wide angle lens by Carl-Zeiss is top-natch quality.
By the way my personal about this phone is too heavy for me about 149 grams will be pocket matter for me and hell yeah! they can't put torch function like done (important for me)
And about firmware stable is in doubt of that, actually I heard new firmware that will release soon will get much better quality pics.
I see N86 promote will held in England called "Alive at Night" they will use N86 taking pic at night even without xenon flash, I think they're very confident with their phone.
By the way I'm not Nokia fans too but N86 is exception of my critics in every corner (maybe mediocre music but it's image-savvy phone)
And I think in this thread has below par cam performance by their original driver.

agree with you HxH
@code28h4p,
i've never say N86 LED is any better than your K850 or C901.
i said N86 led does help in most lowlight condition,
it's not about how bright the N86 led is, but it's about the whole device itself.. (led+N86 camera)

N86 is a smartphone,so there should be an app out there to use its LED as a torch.

@code28h4p
my k800 and my k810 always give me similar result
so I don't think that my k810 is faulty
and I think the k850 and c901 is more powerfull in flash xenon
by the way may k810 can't take good pics in low light for subject farther than 3.5 m
but the n86 take very good pics at 3.5m
@GUCCI.011
why u r laughing
@HxH
I bought the n86 for his build quality it's solid heavy and resistant glass surface and surrounded chrome
I liked it
and yes it's use app which name is "brightlight" it's allow you to use the dual led as a tourch
@centur
of course nooo
@Luci'sPower
that's all
thanks
@all
the n86 dosen't take good pics for moving subject "like party"
it's need much more stabilisation
but in good light condition it's take superb pics 1/1000 shutter speed
thanks guys.....

I'm sure xenon is more powerfull, if only you compare two of them with :
same ISO
same Shutter speed
same aperture
result >>>>>>> XENON much better
I think the comparison that you made has different value of thing I said above, so thats why in some condition led seems more bright because N86 has variable aperture
in other side. each of them has plus minus in ability (xenon and led)
good day everyone

May I know wy you do n86 vs k810 rather comparing k810i xenon vs nokia 5800 LED where both have 3.2mp are you trying to say that n86 is better than any phone and bias on nokia? Or try to compare with c905 vs n86 or pixon12 vs n86 that will be head to head. |

I think the variable aperture doesn't contribute to better lowlight performance because the biggest value (of the N86) is f2.4, while the K810 (and other cybershot phones) has f2.8. So, I guess the difference between the two is barely noticeable.

You don't care about mega pixel thats ok. But is you're comparison concentrate about n86 LED vs any xenon? Or just dual led vs xenon. Switch off all lights in your room there shouldn't be any single light and now do a comparison!
