The T310 we seen last time was the orange colour with orange brand from FCC, just wondering why don't they increase the colour to 4096 and there's room for bigger screen as well.......

i just don't understand why they would make this phone. it looks okay, but not significantly better than the t300 (if at all) and the t300 is still a "new" phone. worse still, it doesn't add any new features at all.
if SE want a budget colour phone, why not stick with the t300? they've made it now, why waste money developing a new one that offers nothing new? they're already behind the competition as far as "fashion" features go, which is all the t300- and now t310- had going for them in the first place.
if they're determined to replace the t300 already, they should have improved on it- better screen, more memory for games, etc. instead, they've just put the same phone in a new case (that isn't necessarily better). why??
i'll say this much- the team that put the original t68 hardware together have really earnt their paycheck (considering this is just another variation on the same old kit). |

The leading companies such as nokia, samsung and even motorola are past 256 colors. So should SE. No way i pay 200 $ for a fone with same features of t300.

Actually Nokia doesn't have 8-bit color screens in any of their phones, so they past that totally. |

Well, the people that have tested the 3510i says that it has a worse screen than the T68/T300 anyway. Ok, it has 4096 colors, but very low resolution and the colors are bad. I haven't tested the 3510i but I have heard that from a few different sources.
Everything is not about how many colors it has. Other things does matter.
I think it's good that SonyEricsson starts doing what Nokia does. Releasing the same phone with minor modifications, with this strategy maybe SE will gain some marketshare. |

I doubt the claim of the review that this is going to replace the T300. It looks to me that this is a special phone designed for operators to "brand". So it woudl look like a "T-Mobile", "Orange", "Vodaphone" etc. The crrent T300 is not quite so easy to brand as such, due to the way the covers are created (I have a T300 on Orange, and this must be the ONLY orange phone that doesn thave the Orange Logo on it, it looks like a stock T300, until you switch it on and see the Welcome to Orange part)
Also the fact the phone doesnt have exchangable covers makes it easier for the operator to brand the phone "permanantly", as opposed to a cover that you can change to remove branding! And I would suspect thats why it woudl be cheaper too, again supporting the branded theory

i think SE dont need to follow nokia. after all they have been setting the standard with fones such as the t28, t68i, p800 and t300. only with these models they have enough expectations from the public

@bart, the t610 won't be the same as te t608 because it will have integrated camera. perhaps it will be the same dimensions and weight but different design (same case as t300, t316 and t310).

What's the point of it all? The T29 was an improved version of the T28 wheras the T39 vastly improved the T29. T310? Same as T300 only with different casing design (which IMO sucks big time...)
Come on SE, what the hell is wrong with you? Nokia has released their lot of phones and so has Motorola. I think even the humble Motorola C330 beats the T310 design big time! |

The T29 was only a cheap spinnof from the T28, a T28 for the masses (much cheaper) and the the T39 was an improvment them buildt on the R520 guts. But they released the T29 targeting other users than with the T39. And as a matter of fact they co-existed.
I agree wiht you it's disapointing not to have any new features. But if this are going to rescure S-E it's fine by me. =)
If the T310 is going to REPLACE the T300 I belive that S-E makes a huge mistake. Look at Nokia they have several phones with the same platform, and they can let the same man hours improve 4 phones instead of one. Which is a good thing ? Yes it is!

It looks like the T100; the yellow button lights, the volume slider, the shape of the buttons next to the joystick... |
