So when I had mine I managed to get the number the phone was texting from o2 cause I guessed the country, as far as I could get the phone send messages of the status of the phone how its working and of any error logs, no way to stop it unless you could flash with emma but I had no joy, so sorry mate to let the news and ruin your sale, but i'll be interested in the x1 seen as I can't find a iphone for less than 300 on evil bay

The only way to solve it would to be flash retail firmware to it, i think that would impossible with a p1, there nothing like the dumb phones which you convert to retail yourself easily.
il go £30 providing the screen (touch panel) has no marks.

the best option your is to boot the phone in flight mode and install a call manager and block the number it texts it is on Google if you search and then put the phone on as normal once the call manager is working and blocking the number.

hope this helps anyone who going to buy it:)

This is still available, will sell for £30, just don't forget about the Swedish SMS issue!

I've noticed on my O2 contract though it's only added just under £2 or so to my monthly bills whilst in use, I imagine if you leave the phone on permanently you'll get less texts as it only seems to send them on bootup and on crashes.

It's just one number it texts, think it just does it on startup and whenever the phone experience a crash.

Apart from this slight issue it's an excellent phone, I used it as my main phone for a couple of months with no problems at all!
