p800 is not a phone, nor a pda.

it's a p800, a whole new phylosophy. that's the point

if you're prepared for it, you will be more than satisfied. and not everyone is prepared for the whole p800 thing

The only gadget that can beat a P800 would be a P900.

I LOOOOVE my P800... It's my best friend...

The only things that should be a tad better:
- Input methods: Support for a palm-ish extra keyboard, the good old chatboard (which would come in handy for the first time) or the possibility to use "personal jotter" in your normal text-writing app's (instead of having to copy/paste it from the PJ app)...
- video recording w/ sound... that would be so nice...
- cheaper memorysticks and especially support for bigger than 128 mb cards...

If all these wishes of mine came true, i'd finally have a reason to live...

It's a unique bit of kit, and I certainly don't regret buying it. It's one of the first phones that you can actually write useful software for, so from that point of view there's not much of a limit to the amount you can know about the P800.

I often get stuff, take it to it's limit then get bored. This hasn't happened with the P800, and when I eventually get some time I'll move some of my development skills away from relational DBs to mobile apps!

I don'r rgret buying mine - I find more and more uses for it everyday, while there's more and more and good software coming out for it.

For me, it's THE essential on-the-move communicator (email phone, SMS), and the games are pretty good too (i'm never bored on my commute).

MP3/OGG/MP4 and the camera are just a bonus.

(But Mods, please move this thread to the P800 area...)

I'm very happy with my P800!!! It's become a device in my everyday life... but that's a good thing... I've never had a phone that meets my demands. And this is one phone that's lasted over 6 months!

I will be upgrading to the newer P810 when it comes out. But not because I think the P800 falls short... I just like the way the P810 looks.

Some people prefer the P800 looks... sleeker, smoother... well, I prefer the more angular look of the P810. Other than that, I wouldn't get any other phone other than the P800.

There really isn't a better phone than P800 on the market now... It has it all... I don't think anyone can come up with a better one... I'm proud of mine...

If i could just get some better form of input (chatboard/whatever), then i'd die a happy man...

I can't decide whether to go ahead and get the P800 or wait for the P900 to come out. I want the P900, and do you think it's feasible to get the P800, then when the P900 comes outsell the p800 and get a p900?

i HATE the wait... When is the P900 coming out? One thing that holds me back from getting the P800 is the lack of t9... Yup I know that there's always handwriting recognition, but I really really prefer text input on the keypad... So I want the t9 in p900.

another thing i'm curious about - Is the p800 keypad flimsy? does it crack the screen if you aren't careful?

if the p900 takes too long to be released i won'tbe able to keep my hands off the p800...
