Today I got one. This is totally nice phone.
Thanks @Bonovox; if you didn’t post about it here then maybe I won’t notice it. Really love the phone. Feel really solid, stainless steel gives extra durability and extra style. |

Oh nice one glad you like it. Which did ya get black or silver? There is a brown one on Nokia website too. I got black it suits men better lol. Anyway yes it is a quality phone. Remember what i said about the camera though. The viewfinder is very grainy indoors but once the photo is taken it comes out clear. But you must hold still and get used to the way the auto focus works. Press the d pad and wait for the square in the middle of the screen to turn green thats when it has focused. If it turns red it has not focused properly. Doing macro is a bit hit and miss but it does work. Check out the LED flash it works very well for an LED it lights up quite far its not bad at all. Video quality is good but wobbles a little. Battery life great too. I love the animated fishes swimming on one of the themes. Very cool. I think pics do come out very good for a budget 3.2 mega pixel camera phone its pretty alright. I heard some people complain saying its really poor but they just have no patience and dont know how to work it properly. I like too how you can change the camera from portrait to landscape as it makes it the right way then depending on the type of picture your taking.

Hey guys few days ago i decided to go buy a 2nd phone which is unusual for me. Anyway i got the Nokia 6303 Classic. Its a great little decent phone. Its a definate improvement on the 6300 which had poor battery life. Now Nokia claim this phone has a powerful battery performance. Well i can say they are right. For once i can use a Nokia which has the stamina to keep going. I charged it up 4 days ago and with moderate use its only just dying now. Impressed. And whats impressed me more with such a budget phone is the 3.2 auto focus camera with powerful led flash and vga recording is very good. The camera takes great pics and its fairly speedy. Before you take the pics the view finder is grainy but once taken even with the flash in the dark pics come out very well. Very surprised. The phone is very stable too for a new release. Very good for my 2nd phone great build and call quality too. Only thing thats boring is the menus not as great as Sony Ericsson. Nokia claim 17 days standby but its a little bold but at least now i believe they are getting better with their battery life and 4 days is good going.

Just as a basic test, I gave mine an initial 3 hour charge and left it on standby whilst I was working away, on my return 9 days later it still had slightly over half of the battery life left, I've got the lack model although I wished I'd got the brown one to match my brown (choco) 6300 |

@Bonovox: I have the silver one. Black one also looks nice but in my eyes, silver one looks flashy than the black one. That’s why I went for silver one. There was another reason; my new motorcycle’s color is silver so I thought it will be nice to match them both. Is black one’s keypad light is blue? Mine is white. Thanks for the tips about camera. I haven’t test (camera function) yet it but will try soon.
@bearcub24: That’s cool man. As bonovox said it should stands easily 4 days with normal use. |

Oh cool. 17 days is the time Nokia say on standby. Thats great. Nokia actually improving battery life. Yes the black one has blue back lighting it looks nice. I still have not had one single crash yet. Looks as though Nokia have improved stability. What type of motorcycle do you have? I am a bit of a rock music fan all sorts and love the image of the Harley Davidson.

My current bike is Bajaj Pulsar 150CC 2009 model. In here Bangladesh, more than 150cc bikes aren’t allowed. I’m fan of all kind of music but most fav is alt.rock and hip-hop. My fav band is Linkin park. Maximum time I listen music through headphones while I ride. It’s gives extra muscle to speed. Lolz.
Well mine is ok. Never face any hang problem. But I’ve one problem, in music player, Genres aren’t show correctly. I’ve songs in under “English alt.rock” genre but in 6303 it shows “Country”, “Hindi movie” shows “Blue”.
Could you check that?
Here is a sample pic which taken with 6303 classic. (This bike isn’t mine; just saw when cross a street, looks weird for every part of red) :

Oh nice very cool. I love that feeling of riding a motor bike and having the wind in your hair seeing stunning scenery and hearing your fave music. Nothing like that feeling of freedom. Er i am not sure how to check with that problem regarding your media player. My songs do come up with the music type so maybe its either your pc or memory card. Which firmware do you have mine is v6.40 which on Nokia website is the latest software version. By the way i listen to U2 Oasis Metallica Guns n Roses Billy Idol Queen all sorts like that. I seen U2 live in Cardiff in 1993 and hence my username Bono Vox as Bono is my idol. I have riden bikes whilst on holiday in Greece and Spain places like that. I had an accident on one on Greek island of Crete. I did a u turn and it skidded on gravel i fell off cutting my chin open

Yeah man that’s called freedom. I also had a major accident at 125kmph speed in a highway. One bicycle was trying to cross the road, after a turn he suddenly came up in to my front; I didn’t have any chance to break, just crashed at 125kmph speed. That bicycle appeared two pieces from the middle and I only survive because of helmet. I lost my 50% of skin. And the Helmet broke to minimum 20 pieces. But luckily I was saved. So it is good to wear a helmet when riding. Sometimes it’s save a life.
My phone’s firmware is also v6.40. I don’t know where the problem is. But same songs in same memory card I played in 5130xm. I hadn’t any problem. I format the memory card with 6303 and copy again the all songs but don’t bring any luck. |

No not sure what it is either though at least the artist is showing? I have had zero problems with this phone. Some people reported a background noise when screen back light is on but mine does no such thing. Perhaps its early software versions doing that. Be careful on your bike as bikes are dangerous on the road more so than cars. |

Yeah Artist name and Album name showing correctly. Only genres are showing wrong. My all song’s have ID3v2 tag. May be current firmware has problem to read custom genre on ID3v2 tag.
Yes you are right; bikes are dangerous on the road more than cars. When accidents happen, cars take the major hit them self but in bike, your body have to take the hit first. |

Amazingly, I checked on my phone today (I've kept it in the box on standby since its initial 3 hour charge) that was on the 15th,and its still going, although the battery indicator is low and has gone red, so almost a fortnight. Ok its not been used for calls or texts (apart from some network texts received) but I recken thats quite a good performance. |

Cool yes it is. Even with moderate use mine goes for a good 3 days with some texting some calls and a little browsing and using camera once or twice it goes really well.

Yes i updated last week. Not much difference though the smilies in messaging the background looks different and the menus seem a little faster for opening folders but not much changes which seems pointless.
