It looks like a 7650 competitor wich isnt so 100% overkill as the P800 is. (the P800 is really a Nokia 9210x competitor)
It would be nice if it is under 100g, has a camera(looks like it does), has T9 and keeps the great design... |

T9 has had it`s day, it`s now no longer the fastest was to input text on the latest SE phone. but Voice recognision is the future, as mentioned above you speak to the phone & it converts it to text. |

Folks, I was only kidding, just like pachy.
I've never seen this phone IRL, and certainly haven't played around with it. As far as I know it's just some prototype that'll never get to be produced. Oh, and it hasn't got "voice-recognition"...
And yes, I'm oldfashioned, I prefer t9. |

Voice recognition IS what mobile manufacturers are currently working on using in future phones.
But maybe a predictive text writing program for p8 will appear for diehards similar to that in other PDA`s. something other that t9 ?????? who knows.

Yea thats the P900i/m/e due out last quarter 2001, but now sadly delayed until either 5th quarter 2002 or 2nd quarter 5002 (in selected countries only at first) & subject to network approval, although Expansys web site says they have "imports" at around £42,000 each (with 16yr o2 contract) or £82,000 sim free, a friend of my uncles brothers friend, said a distant relative of a friend of his dads mate at Phones4U said they are in the warehouse, but thats a lie. oh i`ll get back to you on the "t9" question.
Next week we compare it with a Boshe 509 & a rollup tape measure as it`s similar in size.

hey guys... this picture is taken from this url
http://china.nikkeibp.co.jp/cgi-bin/china/news/tel/tel200301160103.html
this is a china site reporting on devices at the CES held in the United states. I'm a chinese and understand the language on that page. It says this device was found at the "memory stick zone" of the Sony's booth. It is a handphone that is able to receive TV. NO JOKE!! TV!!!!
The raw device on the left is the antenna assembly for the TV receiver. They are now figuring a way to package the antenna into the handphone. Notice that the screen? It's showing TV news broadcasting received by the phone. They are finding a way to package the TV antenna assembly into the memory stick module so that it can be attached to the mobile phone. A prototype of the memory stick TV antenna module is shown on the right of the picture. The wires below show the raw TV PCB circuit.
SonyEricsson's R&D are so much better than that of nokia. It truly mark their engineering discipline.
This should get u guys excited about the next generation of SE phones. By the way, they said the phone is ready for production. |
