I believe that firmwares in yours and hers phone,
are not quite the same. Must be a difference in a way....
I believe on firmware R1DA0032 is better 2.7
and on R1BA042 is better 2.4.....
And I know there is a difference between same firmwares... even when they have same names.

You are asking for a little too much in your original post.
I know the Driver can be tweaked slightly, and may improve pictures, slightly.
It wouldn't be like a major overhaul, Until someone puts their time and effort into it, then im satisfied with the quality of the original 2.7 driver at the moment  |

I still believe the driver can do some improvements trough it's settings.
Of course, maybe nothing spectacular, but still .... |

sure thing but you can see, for example, better sharpness if you change sharpness in code. otherwise visible chages in quality are possible only thru different firmware versions
you have new driver v2.7 in latest FW but changelog (since v2.4) is cruel - no changes in quality at all, nothing new because SE never changed quality in drivers. so, what's new in v2.7?
- videotelephony 96x128 mode is 12fps (previously 10fps)
- new videotelephony mode 128x96
that's all. if you see something better, maybe because of different FW
