Its possible that one person in Esato had a lot of money, but its not logical to think that everyone is rich because they own lots of cellphones.
Like someone previously said, its all about priorities. Maybe you like S.E. and you like to spend your money in a treat to yourself. I think much people in this forum is older than me (17) and they work so they have much more money to spend.
Besides there is another difference. It all depends on which country are you living. In my country , cellphone contracts are VERY different than the european ones. First of all, the variety of models being offered is not much and you have to wait a lot of time if there is a new model presented and you want to buy it (im still waiting for them to sell w595 -.- ). You can imagine that they are still selling k850 at 400 dollars with one year contract. I see people around here selling unlocked phones really cheap, when here you have to pay the same ammount for the same phone with a year contract.
The same horrible prices happens with accesories. in Sony Style : HBH ds 220 for 120 dollars, 4GB m2 for 60.
But well, im tired of criticizing , i want my w595 XD
Too bad I cant buy one in this forum and make it send to Argentina . |

A phone doesnt represent whether you're rich or poor, ive seen quite a lot of rich people get out of their realy big and expensive house, get into their Merc S-Class and pull out a Nokia 6280 and yet ive also see people pull out a E90, N95-8GB, W960 etc. . .and yet get into an old Fiat Uno, realy depends on your priorities, but ye with kids its a lil different, ive seen quite a few 13yearolds with N95s, maybe its past down from a parent OR it was bought for them, you never know.

N95's in kids pockets? Damn that is something that i never saw as it means the world is slowly being corrupted. Anyway yeah iys not a matter of poor or rich just priorities and such. Or maybe it also comes down to working for your parents all summer(almost all just like a bit of help here and there) and them letting you buy some nice phones. Like for me i always almost have the latest handset. Last year was the W760 this year i am getting the W705. |

Anyways, your main point does make a sense. |

Is that just me, or there actually plenty of really wealthy people that can throw Nokia 5800 XpressMusic away and buy N97 because they think it's better.
Like what the other posters have said, it's all about priorities.
I just got an X1 to replace my two year old P990. I have already set aside a personal budget to allow me to get a nice phone every two or three years. In order to make room for that budget, I sacrificed other stuff like clothing. Heck, I've not bought a new pair of shoes for 6 years already, and I'm going to hang on to these until the soles fall off! Heheheh... I only buy new trousers when they start to 'feel weird'. The same with office shirts. My snappy dressing friends at the office on the other hand have to make do with cheaper phones. Yet they've got nice shoes, smart shirts, etc.
