Can someone tell me the difference between the W705 and the W715 apart from a vodafone logo plastered on it? |

Thats it! The vodafone version will come with vodafone exclusive colours, fw and branding. This will have been requested by Vodafone from SE.

Uh and the GPS.
Anyway i only walk into a phone store to by what i went there to buy and i always stick to my choice. And i always walk into one to look not shop as being a minor doesnt exactly have the perks of buying a shiny new 600 euro phone when you have nagging parents if it calls its fine what do you need shmancy fancy stuff on it. |

Not really that much of a difference then really.
My dad's like 'you've got a camera so all you really need a phone for is calls and texts' Who said buying a new phone had to be an enjoyable experience. Minor? How old are you? |

Well, in some contries the only GSM network is Vodafone -such as NZ for instance, so I'm pretty excited about the W715 actually.
It's like a cross between the G705 and W705 which I've been trying to choose between for weeks; W715 is clearly the best featured of the three.
Did no-one notice the statement about high quality headphones included in the box? Well done SE! There seems to be an assumption by alot of people that after shelling out your hard earned cash on a mid range/high end feature phone that you should then spend more on high end headphones as well! Why My iPhone 8GB cost me $699 plus a 24 month plan and for that (and with Apples reputation) it should have better OEM headphones than it does. Well done SE for upping the ante with Clear Audio and high quality headphones, I can't wait! We have been asking on Esato for better SQ and headphones so once again SE have proven they listen.
As far as Vodafone branding is concerned if it's okay with Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher, it's fine with me. VodafoneNZ phones are unlocked anyway... |

we have been marginated for many years. now that we get some triband umts/hsdpa, you are the ones who lack this.
Yeah.. Many years SonyEricsson teased North/South American people offering phones without GSM 850 or UMTS phones only with 2100. Maybe now it's time for revenge to the other world, so only american market can have "fully loaded network capability" phone...
Or maybe people who created the C510 don't know anything about the term "roaming".
To be serious: I hope that SE will notice their mistake and next time will offer only one verison to all world. Like it was K850i.

W715 will be available unbranded in Scandinavia, it seems. |

I can't see why people are bashing the c510.
What's the problem with it?
* Reliable 3.2 megapixel Cyber-shot camera
* Smile Shutter – clever technology that detects a person's smile and immediately takes the photo!
* Face Detection – focusing technology of up to three faces at a time
* Auto-rotation – alter the landscape and portrait view by rotating the mobile phone
* Snapfish by HP
* YouTube enabled – upload your videos and images straight to the web
* Photo Fix – adjust light balance, brightness and contrast simultaneously
* SMS conversation style – see your entire SMS conversation history at a glance
* Slide in lens cover and illuminated imaging Shortcuts
* Auto focus – take the best shot
* Size: 107 x 47 x 12.5 mm
* Weight: 92 grams
What's so 1998 and bad about these features for a mid-range phone?

too early for using word 'reliable', we all know that Cyber-shot is just marketing

c510 should have a quad band by now its 2009 not 2006 model for it to be cheap and mid-rang it should only be one version and that is 850/900/1900 and etc.not 3 versions c510a,c510,c510c. |

I think as long as its priced right, the features far outweigh the fact that its only triband
