Personally, I beileave all these problems (earpiece, screen etc.) are caused by a faulty flex cable.

Agreed, either that or the speaker not making proper contact with the contact, thus why pressing the 'c' key or the fascia makes it work. Mine's been fine so far, touchwood!

Manufactured 08w52, got it only a couple of weeks ago from an O2 store when I renewed my contract.

No probs with it but slider seems a bit loose and wobbly but actually works fine. Also the metal finish beloe the cam lens cover/slider seems a bit sharps and sticks out slightly, again causes no problems.

I have been without my C905 for a month now.

It's back at the manufacturer and they said I would get a new one.

is it normal to take this length of time? it's been repaired twice and away half the time I have owned it.

Your case is rare. I guess they have being trying so many ways to repair the phone before giving you a new one. Its a good fact that they're trying and are they keeping you up to date with what they're doing?

My case has taken a further twist. It's been away one month so I phoned the repair centre about my 5th time calling them. They told me last week I would get a brand new one.

They were unable to repair it so sent it away to SE and hoped to give me a new one. SE have been able to repair the handset and it's undergoing some 'testing' and should be with them in a a few days.

Where to I stand with this? SE can't even give me a new one great customer service that. I may have to make a decision whether to ever buy another Sony Ericsson phone again.

I have had my LG Viewty as a spare for one month and guess what not a single problem. I would be best off with a LG Renoir would I not? My saga will continue if I sell the handset and it breaks again what then?

The C905 has been my worst nightmare of a phone.

Guess you got a dumb ass fixing your phone. Your phone is going to be brand new inside, so its still new! You should have it back just in time for the software update
