sorry guys... I'm part way through 17 days off now, though having been to the shops a few times since Friday, I have appreciated very much that some people have to work during this time, so my thoughts are with you and I hope you can have some fun at this time of the year while working

sadly it's my choice Big M, I hold down 3 jobs, and while I've got 2 weeks off 2 f them, I felt a little bit disjointed so I nominated myself for OT at the 3rd job....

this year its not my choice as most contractors are off due to "budgetry requirements" for the company I am working for this year.
Mind you I worked right through last year (different company/contract) but had 3 weeks of the year before so its swings and roundabouts and I don't mind so much this year as I have so much personal stuff to catch up on.
Got a great New Years party o go to next week too

Well i work in a hotel as a Duty Manager. At Christmas it closes though some hotels dont. Some of us each year get picked out to work when its closed which is for 4 days. Now what is nice is you get to work 10 hours sitting in a posh hotel(just watching the place) in any room with a portable phone the bar is free and so is the christmas dinner they leave for you. And all the tv you can watch whilst on duty. Not so bad really and you get triple time lol |

Just finished my last shift of the year at 0600 this morning...don't go back until Monday 5th. I've got to work the Monday and Tuesday, then i've got another week off
Feel sorry for you guys working through the holidays...it must really suck balls
