@Manuela, yes 7650/3650/9210 are the only decent colour phones from Nokia IMO! They all have very good screens(TFT). 7210/6610/3510i all have poor colour screens(STN) compared to the others.

The 3510i has 256 colors....
I tried one at local dealer a few days ago.
It's very similar except the picture album and java.

Get your facts straight. 3510i supports 4096 colours(in theory).

No! 7210 display is 128x128 pixels, 3510i is 96x64. It is 16384 pixels versus 6144. Big difference! Both have 4096 colors.

The 3510i has the worst screen of any current phone. Its 96*64 pixels resolution makes the pixels (the squares that make up the photo) appear really big which makes the 4096 colors really obsolete. To make things worse the screen is poorly lit. The 101*80 T300 screen is way better! The 3510i supports only 4-channel poly sounds as opposed to 24(!) for the T300 which sounds very much like your walkman headphones. There is no comparison between the sound of the two. 4-channels is hardly polyphonic and is an indicator of cheapness. The sound chip of the T300 has to be much more expensive. The 3510i can only use a special kind of midi (sound) file that only Nokias use (I think it's called SP). The T300 can use ANY midi file, from any site, as a ringing sound. The 3510i has no infrared so you cannot exchange logos and sounds with friends (even if it did have IR, you still wouldn't be permitted to do so just like with the 7210). To customize your phone with logos and sounds you have to use network services, ie you have to PAY. You cannot have recorded sound with incoming or outgoing MMS (T300>you can). The 3510i only has 225KB free space when you buy it while the T300 has 490KB. The 3510i displays 4 lines with SMS or WAP surfing. The T300 displays 7 lines. The T300 has a separate LOUD ringer for mono melodies, besides the poly ringer. The 3510i only has one. The 3510i does not have menu shortcuts. The T300 has no real calendar (but it has reminders). The 3510i has 300,3-field entry phonebook memory. The T300 has 250 entries TOTAL, each name can have up to 3 phone numbers. The transmission/reception is OK with both phones. All in all The 3510i is disappointing and I compared it to the T300 because they are both new, similarly priced, and similarly ugly!!! I hope you'll find the information useful.

Yes, I did exchange it for a T300. To test the screen just send via MMS a colorful image from a T300 to a 3510i and compare them. The 4096 colors need many pixels to display their virtues. It's all pure marketing bullshit in this case!

Oh I'm glad its not 2 great... I was worried that this phone would come along and completely blow my t300 out of the water...
