Should I get the C902 Titanium silver or T700? (Bought the latter) |

I've just bought the T700, will play around with it when I get home. I've checked the firmware and it isn't on the latest version, so I'll probably be bringing it to the service centre next to my workplace tomorrow to get it updated. Hope it will not disappoint me like my last two A200 phones did. |

Congratulations for your new phone
I think K770 is A100, so the T700 is your 2nd A200.

Wow, you know the phones I'm using better than I do.
You're right, my mistake. Anyway, spent some time playing around with the T700 last night and first impression is excellent, very responsive even on the old firmware. Will be taking it in for a firmware upgrade today. Just out of curiosity, would I be able to put the W980/902 acoustics in it? I've not done it before so I'm a little apprehensive. If it's not too difficult and if the outcome is worth the hassle, I'd give it a shot.
Can someone post the original W902 acoustics here? Thanks! |

You can search for acoustics at www.4shared.com or www.se-nse.com... You should be able to find something on those sites... And for uploading the files to phone, the A2Uploader should support the T700 too (as it supports many DB3150 - A2 phones) so you should be able to open up it's FS with it...

Thanks mate, I'll check out the links you've posted. I've not gotten round to using my T700 yet as I've only just got it back from the service centre yesterday evening. Didn't have time to set it up. It seems I brought it to the service centre in vain though, as the firmware was still the same version, R3DA026. Anyone's facing any issues with that firmware version so far? |

Is the T700 finally out in the UK yet ?
The SE shop says January but they're usually a month or 2 late getting phones in stock over retail stores.

Well, I'm not quite sure about the UK, but it's available in Singapore now. The all-black one's not out yet though. I did consider waiting for it, but I think the black on silver one that I got looks better. All-black would be too boring, considering that I've got a black W810 now. |

Its the black/silver one i'm wanting as well. Would go well next to my Eclipse Black T650.

I made the update of the firmware in home.
All you need is a USB cable and download and install Update Service on your PC:

Choose your preferred language and follow the instructions that appear.
It is very simple

Yes, I'm aware that I can do it at home, but I think a complete reflash by the service centre is better. Besides, it's just next to my workplace and I got it back on the same day, so it's not much hassle.
I'm using it now and so far it seems pretty alright, it's more responsive than my Z770. Keypad's a little small and keys are cramped though.
I've got to questions, I used to hear the message alert in my bluetooth headset when I'm listening to music, but with the T700, it's silent when I receive a message. Is there any way to turn it on?
Next, I noticed a bug in the calendar. Dates with appointments are not in bold, is anyone else facing this issue? |

In my phone, with the firmware R3DA031, all is ok. |

Hmm... Then perhaps it's a firmware issue. I'll have to flash my phone again once the latest firmware is available. Thanks for the info!

Yup, the black on silver one looks great, I'm glad I chose it over the other two colours.
I gotta say the original acoustics really sound pretty bad. A2 uploader is a godsend. It's so easy to use, I just tried it for the first time last night. I uploaded the W980 acoustics into my phone despite not being a fan of messing around with my phone's internal file systems. It was relatively painless and it was worth the effort.
Now that I'm a little more comfortable with using A2 uploader, perhaps the next step would be to mod my cam drivers and desktop menus. Does anyone have a good recommendation for cam drivers for the T700? |
