Race realisticly could be a downfall, and it is a real threat.
I was browsing through the sky news site, and it said that a white supremacist group had serious plans of assasinating him.
Also on youtube, one of the imperial wizards of the ku klux klan, made such a serious threat concerning an assasination, the FBI were contacted.
I have to agree with fatreg here, I dont believe Americans will vote for a black president, for the reasons he highlighted. | |

I think fatreg is right too. Obama certainly deserves to win and seems like the right man for the job until you take race into account. America has too huge of a white supremacist society, and I bet that they will not give up on assassinating Obama until the job is done. America will be branded a racist country.

If you bothered to read further into this story you would have also read that after conducting initial investigations it was revealed that both involved didnt really plan it that well and were "not properly prepared". Meaning it was just a few loonies trying to come accross as something bigger.
There will ALWAYS be an element of the right wing. In Britain we have the BNP, in France they are also present but they are nothing more than a few angry skinheads who are either ex convicts with no prospects for the future or just confused, in most cases a combination of both.
Just remember it was America who for the most part on WW2 and in the process rid the world of a fanatical right wing following. Do you really think there are that many of them around? Grow up.
If McCain wins then they will stay in Iraq and I can only see more 9/11's on the horizon. Thats bad for America and bad for Britain and a lot of other countries.

I would be happy if the Democrats got in for a change, the Repubs seem to have done more bad than good.
'Change' is what's needed right now and I hope Obama does get in. It will be a travesty if the Republicans get in again.
Sadly,every time I hear his name I hear people speaking about him being assasinated but I think we should cross that bridge when / if we come to it.
Right now, he looks like the right man for the job.

First of moron I don't give a care who is president, I was just stating my opinion. All I was doing was stating my opinion. You could of done the same in a mature and orderly fashion, but you want to unload like a bull.
First of lets get some facts right. The Ku Klux Klan have grown by a rapid rate and there are now nearly 10,000 members and they are growing. If the threat was not serious and they were just loonies, the FBI would not have been contacted would they?
The KKK are not just some right wing group like the BNP, these guys have a history of lynching , and blew up a black church, were innocent black children were killed. I doubt the FBI would be contacted if they were just some "loonies." Why the hell did a these neo nazis make head line news for their orderly plot to massacre Obama along with other black people in a Tennessee murder spree?
Oh I forgot though, your god and your opinion is right and every one else is a dog when it comes to their views. Im sure one of their sniper rifles which they brandished was just a toy. Seriously the only one who needs growing up is your self..

And regarding gun crime. Well I am not an expert on gun crime and demographics but it's a safe bet to assume areas with high unemloyment and a presence of drugs leads to gun crime. Perhaps you should go over there and see for yourself.
