i thought i would (from the start) book a C905, i love most all new Cybershoots. i have use all flagships from T610 to C902 and they have been great .
it was after i saw some live pictures by c905, i change my mind directley. (its the front keys & most of the design i dont like). G705 looks more like a classic phone. it also seems to have really nice front keys and beatiful design.
C905 is also to big(thick/heavy) for me, i want a slimm phone, whats the point to carry around a brick in your pants. (can use my laptop for that

C905 sometimes reminds me on nokia n95, don't know why.
And about the G705, I don't like it's keys...

I know why, it's because both share the same form factor and have similar features. Entering the N95 market segment is long overdue IMO for SE, I just hope the segment still attracts customers. Surely all the potential C905 customers already have a N95 or N95 8GB so hopefully the 8.1 Mp camera will be enough to gain sales. Personally I think these customers are looking for something new with a large touchscreen such as the iPhone/N96/Xperia X1. Time will tell I guess.
The thing that interests me about the G705 is the range of frequencies it supports such as UMTS 850, UMTS 1900 and UMTS2100. This phone would be able to recieve 3G content from multiple networks here in NZ when lower frequencies for rural areas are rolled out. Xperia X1 also adds a UMTS 900 band too.
On spec and style I think the C905 wins but I'd expect the G705 to be only 2/3 the price of the C905 so that should also be factored in.

i dont see any simile design from N95 in C905.....they looks very unlike eachother.
however, Samsung 8510 looks ridiculous similar to N95 8GB

I didn't say they looked similar, I said they shared the same form (slider) and similar features particularly TV out and Wifi.

Does the 705 come with an M2?
The specs don't say.
Thanks

Only thing putting me off the G705 is the lack of auto focus. |

The G705 is a nice handset (looks wise) but I'm still keen on getting the C905

I feel the same way about W910 - it's pictures are quite good, but still there is a big difference between AF and non-AF. Non-AF is good for basic point and shoot, but when I want to get creative, or for macro close-ups, I really miss the AF.
Hence why I want the C905 over the G705.

If you think a phone's camera is important then go for C905.
If your priority is affordability and connectivity then G705 would be obvious (it gives C905's connectivity options at a lower price).
But I still think C905 is better because it looks very monolithic, and I don't care about its size. Based on experience, I won't put mobile phones in my jeans pocket anymore! (except my CDMA Nokia because they're all plasticky...) |

Maybe you are right about that... You know, they are pretty the same. But C905 is better on options.

Don't be fooled by the megapixels my ex-K800 gave me better results than the 5mp of my K850,I think SE is extrapolasing 2 or 3 mp into 5 and 8mp,that's why photo quality is awfull, only close up photos are nice!
The G705 looks better, slimmer and have many options like Wifi and GPS,the 3.2mp inherited of the K800 + flash will be acceptable,if you want a great camera just go and buy a DSLR
