Yes, just while I was writing this post, my new replaced W980 arrived. Thank God O2 are very fast.
Many Thanks to all those members who contributed to this thread, I have decided to carry on with my W980 as I can't accept another model or another phone instead of this beauty even if the problem persists, I only need to wipe it (silly me) and that's it.
Once again thank you all and would keep you of the updates in the official W980 thread.
Regards

I don´t have screen protector
On my W380 there is a space between the screen and the keyboard (some plastic that prevent the screen to touch the keyboard) when the W380 it's closed, so it doesn't leave any marks

ive only ever seen this problem with sony ericsson phones. sony ericsson build 'quality' at its best.
the best solution would be to use a screen protector. who would of thought it - a screen protector on a clamshell . hehe

Then either you haven't used too many clam shells or just talk BS. My Moto V3 leaves key marks on the screen as well (also confirmed by tranced), so its nothing unique to SE as you claim.
Wiping off the screen from the shirt usually removes the trace of the keys.

i've never seen it either my own clamshells or those of others with non-SE phones. only SE phones. my mum has a v3 and there is no such mark on it, nor those of others. now who's talking BS.
