I am tapping this with Tungsten via BT with old T39. The colours are amazing and better than in Sony. WEB/WAP-browsers are excellent. The OMAP-processor is very fast. MP3 is coming in a week. Tungsten is the best buy.

Thanks Matteus!
My head is spinning at the moment. I have come down to Bluetooth versus camera as important in my decison making. I have no experience with bluetooth but guess it is easier to use the internet and e-mail via bluetooth as compared with an infra-red link.
To add a camera to the Tungsten is about £100 which brings it to the price of the NX70v, but then to add bluetooth to the NX70 v takes that on another £100!
I think the NX70v's camera can take still images as large as 640 by 480 and as small as 160 by 120 pixels. All videos are taken at 160 by 112 pixels and have audio.
I am not sure of the specifications of the add-on Palm camera. I saw it in a review somewhere.... but lost the link!! But I seem to recall 640 x 480! I am sure software will be available to make the add-on camera function as a video. I have seen such software for the lower spec. NR70v.
I am leaning towards the Tungsten!!
I do have a specialised interest, that is to add some form of Japanese support and to try to send and receive e-mails in Japanese. maybe that's a dream for now.
Thanks again,

As of Friday 3rd January 2003, there hasn't been any news from Kinoma or Real about their MP3 software for the Palm Tungsten T (these 2 companies are supposed to supply MP3 player software, the Real software being the one that Palm will offer for free to Tungsten users).
You will have to wait a bit longer.

For the ultimate portability you cant go worng with the TT.
As you know Sony haves the best screen, fastest cpu, very good multimedia capabilities,a little bigger than most of the other PPC and Palm pda's,battery life is avarage,sw is very good(Bundled sw)First i have the NX but later i have to order the Tungsten for 2 reasons:
1-Built in BT
2-I need a specific sw+hw combo its called ATAP:(www.autotap.com) it only works on the Tungsten and few other older models of Palm.
You ll get better comminication capabilities with the Tungsten+ better support for all kind of problems. If i have to buy only one pda i ll go with the NX but if NX is not an option the Tunsten is the best(My opinion)i also tryed the LOOX and the Ýpaq 3970 but i dont like the PPC stuff(Good machines bad sw)
Also a new mp3 player is avaible for Tungsten later Palm will add a nice mp3 palyer 2(Very close future)if mp3 is important to you. |

i just wish packetvideo.com can make a version for the tungsten wherein you can watch streaming video with it... the P800 came with it and it is so cool, you can see live moving video of time square, london and paris opera...
