Surprisingly it doesn't affect the P990, no problem displaying it in both FO and FC modes.
K750 is affected, as soon as the picture is displayed (either full screen or thumbnail) the phone restarts.
Nokia 6260 (S60v2) is not affected either, however the picture displays only once and does not repeat.

Jesus! H Christ!

Damn that image does it?! thats IT?! Wonder how many ppl in the K850i firmware thread also have this image somewhat hidden in their phone or M2 that is causing this. I was just thinking this was related to that ... maybe a file referenced in the Media Browser yet not on the M2 any longer?

Well, in Vistas Photo viewer it says it's corrupted, but in ACDsee viewer it shows it normally. Probably transparent effect of the gif affects this.

In SE phones such as the P1/P990 it does loop.
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

@Amras, you are correct there - I put it into my others folder so it is only shown in the list and this does not restart the phone, only actually viewing the animation restarts the phone afaik

Thanks for the info.

Hell, thouse Nokia boys have struck again. The discussion and jokes in the ' underworld' has been going on for sometime. I never actually believed that someone will intentionaly 'create' something like this, just to discredit SE. My boss was very surprised after I did send the 'virus' to him and his SE (which he used to praise a lot) gave its gost. Now he wants something 'more reliable' Now let me see how many SE cells can I 'hang' till the end of the week

ah yes, very mature mario.

I guess if I sent the cabir virus from my immune SE phone to people's infectable Nokia's - that would prove SE is superior to Nokia (by your reasoning)

Hmmm . . . Can't you take a joke bud . And Cabir is old news (actually very old by cell's standards) My N73, which I have it for over a year now, does not mind it I just love the faces of SE owners if they try to run the bluetoothed image I've send them and their beloved and 'never crashing' super cell phones gives them the white wash And I love it just as much when fanboys in here get just as excited about my super postings This is one of the few places (real world included), where I can behave like a kid and knowing someone gives a dam about it

Your point? What do you hope to gain in sending this to people with :se: phones? So sinister. Anyone who forsakes their phone because of you seriously lacks conviction and is easily swayed.

I have ringtones for the W890i that reset the phone when they are uploaded to the handset. Tested on the following handsets & they keep rebooting K800i, K810i & W660i.
Btw i have downloaded these ringtones from the Sony Ericsson wap site.

Here are the ringtones in question
Download here

Edit: Tested these on a Nokia N73 ran with no problems
