The fastest se started shipping a phone was im w880i's case this time last year... Why couldnt they have continued it?

Exactly what I wanted to say. Their current way of doing things is pathetic! I wonder how long it would take for the "P5" to be released after announcement.

I think most of the A200 phones will be out in 3 months time which is quite normal. But Uiq may be 4 and i wish they announced X1 in may then we would all not be complaining so much i am interested in the C702 or C902 so i guess i am not waiting for long lol i think

One would think that with such a long waiting period SE could at least do some beta testing before releasing products, which was clearly not the case with P990. Whatever changes took place at SE, after the P900 they were not able to release a well designed competitive product.
If I were the SE CEO, I'd start with the P990/P1 project manager and replace everyone down to the last tech guy, including any PR guys assuming there are any.
Less than 2 years after launch and SE officially no longer supports P990, in contrast, Nokia still works and releases fw upgrades for their N95 to improve performance and functionality. SE is just not doing anything to gain my confidence, for that reason alone for my next smart phone I will not start by looking at SE first. If SE has any analysts, they should analyze this as I have been an SE user with P800 then P900 for about 4-5 years now, more than 15 years including Ericsson, but no more.

P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace

So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

if nokia shows a fone, its out within weeks, when se does the same, its out in monthes... imo it has nothing to do with strategy, more with competence and technical knowledge. next to it, besides the new design of xperia and g series, se didnt show anything really new, all the features, wm, cam etc are already given, so why and for to wait?

They're not unique, however they're one of the few to announce most products in time for no leaks. Ah well, yes, beta testing is what we do as well. It's a nice privilege, isn't it? Surely, that's what all other manufacturers believe as well. Find some other place to spam.
