I don't think this is a joke...
This is a feature to rotate the screen as needed.
Imagine you have a Tablet PC and you want to let the guy from across the table to view your screen properly.

That's right. It's mainly for using monitors that support landscape portrait mode, which used to be very popular with writers, publishers, proof readers, translators, people like that. Hence why you can usually rotate it 90° as well as 180°
But this thread reminded me of those old joke programs...

Either the graphics card doesn't support it, it's disabled or not set up in the graphics card's control panel or the graphics card's system tray application (like ATI's catalyst control centre, for example) isn't running

im running windows vista and the screen went black with just the mouses orientation changed.. then i had no idea how to get the screen back.. it sounds liek its worked funny on mine?

To get the screen back to proper orientation press Ctrl+Alt+up  |

@krubach- yea but the screen also went black. i ended up having to do ctrl ald del then declining the offers to restart to get my lappy working again?
not sure why im assuming you're a technician! =]

I used to work in a factory building IBM machines, my job was to load on the basic running software so you could install Windows...must have been well over a thousand high-end pc's with Sonic the Hedgehog on them. Couldn't play it, but it kept me amused

This doesnt work for me but I think I can guess what it does. Does it rotate the screen? f so this is the creepiest htings ever as at school i mashed the keyboard and the screen rotated and I had no idea how to fix this..this is so wierd..
