I know it sounds weird but I think I prefere the older version as I prefere the idea of having a removable memory card.

Unless you use 2 or more memory cards, that is IMHO the less important difference between the N95 and the N95 8GB. Make no mistake... |

Got a N95-1 on friday. I am pretty happy with it. Might debrand it as the latest o2 firmware is 12 but not sure how. Works well with a 8gb card.

I have a couple of things that are annoying me about the N95.
1. Why did Nokia not make the phone so the USB lead would also charge the phone like a lot of other usb equipped phones?
2. I am yet to find out how to connect my laptop to the net using the N95 as a bluetooth modem. Using the USB lead works fine but I cant get it to work with bluetooth.

Is it me or is the N95 camera rubbish at focusing? It takes ages to focus on moving objects so when it finally takes the picture the object has gone out of shot. It also will not focus on close up objects, I tried taking a picture of part of a document but it resfused to focus correctly even in macro mode.

Hi jcwhite_uk
Well sorry but my guides are now well hidden on the forum but all you need to know to debrand your N95 by changing the product code to a generic version so you can enjoy the vast improvements that v20 firmware brings can be found in these threads.
