I too would like to see a CCD sensor in either 3.2MP or 5.0MP form. I would like to see quality put before quantity (MP) for a change.

first of all to change the position of the camera lense because its in the middle of the phone and its very difficult to shot a pic in portrait mode without put your fingers on the lense, second, the place of the speaker because if you ve it on a table noise isnt loud enough to hear it and last but not least the fingerprint magnet fascia front and back..in other ways EVERYTHING else except the camera and the battery..

Camera is the best part of K850i.
Don't know much about its new keyboard layout. |

@plankgatan. It's not only daylight..even indoor when i make a portrait picture of someone ALL of them are out of focus. i hate it... Macro's good, long distance is good..but in between (portrait) is out of focus :S |

camfones ALWAYS come in BOX-frames . . . a better contour (fascia-shape) will make the handset MORE appealing to the consuming-public !

2.4 or 2.6'' screen...
I begin to appreciate my new n95 because of that!

the k850i camera should be a ccd sensor not a cheapy cmos one again
Comparing CCD with CMOS is like comparing CRT monitors with LCD. CMOS is becoming better:

after i spook with support, i think i understand why daylight portrait pics dosent get 100% sharp...(the support thought it maybe was correct)
EXAMPLE; if you take a picture on a moving target/peoples (with a real system-camera) and keep the expoures time open some short sec longer then you should do..you know the picture dosent get 100% sharp, (if you know what i mean).
so i think the light sensor gives the camera little wrong expoures data.
the problem must be, because the light sensor in full daylight tell the camera to be open some short sec longer...(the light sensor "feel" its darker then it realy is, and tell the camera to have little longer expoures time)
thats why you dont get full sharpness in daylight portrait...it realy make sense....the sharpness comes when the expoures time is 100% right(synched)...
so..a new optimized camera software FOR THE light sensor is what needs.....then you get sharp daylight portrait pics

My suggestion: set EV (with d-pad) to a negative value for example -1.
i'm curious about it, show me the result.

well I reckon a centre button for the dpad would make the K850 better. ie: a centre button that is actually physically in the centre.
Though I'm not sure how they would fit it in their.

What would make K850 better?
to be something like this:
1/2.5 HAD CCD sensor, optical zoom, proper keypad ergonomy, matte finish, and Nvidia Goforce 5500 GPU... N95 would never come withthose features for sure, and if they did, will not as par as the SE's

Why don't you go apply for a job with SE. That mock-up is pretty sweet. I like it more than even the SE SO905iCS.<< That phone is too big IMO. Does your mock-up have l.e.d. for torch/video recording?

The K850 needs a decent camera. I know many of you think K850 has a decent camera while quite a few of us disagree. Well, look here at a survey that asked people to rank photo's of the top four 5mp camera phones without knowing which camera took which shot: http://www.gsmarena.com/5_megapixel_faceoff-review-191p2.php . No surprises for me here - The K850 came dead last by a huge margin.

razec...i thought you had understood that...
you can get a 7-10 M.P CCD camera + 3 optical zoom , super advanced GPS, wlan.... from whitout any problem..for sure..if they wanted to do one, they make one....
(but also remember that one of major goals with their cell phones is GOOD battery life & decent prices)
it all about the money...nothing more..nothing less...end of story
(IT COST TO MUCH TO MAKE..... sure, in the future they gonne make this kind of phones, but right now its to expensive)

It needs a CCD camera, CMOS is getting better, but the quality is only equal close to CCD in big lenses. |

i dont agree about CCD vs CMOS.....you found CMOS who is very good...it all about money folks.
im very pleased with k850 sensor..(think its one of the best allround sensors of all cell phones)
(i believe) the problem is, that the camera expoures some 0.1sec longer then it realy should..we need a better optimized camera software FOR THE LIGHT SENSOR...then you get this awesome sharpness we get on our FLASH PICTURES with k850 (it makes sense i think)
CMOS ..what i mean is CMOS is good enough...and can of course get realy good even with small sensors.
