I've tried three versions of TT6 and none will install!

Tom Tom has to be installed in the root of the storage. Do not create a folder to stick it all in. At the end if it all looks really messy then you've got it right!

I know Tom Tom has be copied directly to the root.

The first one I tried it 6.01, which I found out won't work with UIQ. I have the full DVD.

I then tried UK only with 6.02, again, no luck. 6.03 didn't work either.

I'm getting increasingly frustrated with this as it seems to work for everyone else.

I take it you copied it using fast file transfer mode? Other than that - sorry no idea!

On the W960 plugged into the laptop next to me I've got in the Root folder of the 8gb memory:

\private\
\resource\
\sys\
\TomTom\
\voices\
\zip\
install.bif

(ignore the double slashes, they should be single, the forum is just escaping them)

also there have only been two version 6.020 and 6.021 for the UIQ phones 6.01 was for Nokia and Windows Mobile.

From what I can gather all you have to do is copy all the folders from the DVD to the root of the 8gb hard drive. When you disconnect the USB cable or restart your phone, it automatically begins the install. But I keep running into problems and not succeeded.

i managed to get my mates 6.0.2 version.. i put it on my phone in 'fast file transfer' mode, change the file transfer mode to normal, tomtom installer pops up sayin
software name : tomtom nav..
version: 6.02(7900)
supplier: tomtom-en

i press install, it hangs a sec or 2 then the installer screen vanishes and then no thing.. no error msg or owt!
there is no tomtom program in my tools folder..
BUT its listed in my uninstall list!! HEELLPPP

ANY ONE WHO HAS INSTALLED IT TO A W960.. plz confirm the installer details!

I have a couple of W960i and have Tom Tom loaded on both. They both work very well apart from sometimes when using the Tom Tom the phones go into auto keylock, which means the screen gets smaller and eventually goes black.

Is there a way to avoid this apart from the obvious and not having the auto keylock on.

This never used to happen when I used Tom Tom on my P990i
