In my country, come stations transmit the name of the song, sometimes they give the time and it appears on my screen. Although that's not very frequent. Sorry I don't have a camera with me to take a pic of K750 screen. Hope I can borrow one soon to put up pics

cool tranced. In fact most stations just put up the name of the station. In my case there is only one radio station that puts up the name of the station, time, and name of the song. Although it's not always there. Also the name of the song and artist are long, so it sort of like shows it in parts.

@mcrosser: when i had my k750 i only got the station's name shown in the screen. now with the p990 i get more things.
@sranjanm2002: im using the The Open Screen Capture that Mizzle linked to me. i guess this is better as i can start the countdown(0 sec, 10 secs and 30secs) whenever i want.

ok, my sis got her SIM going all right. I was taking pics of my K750 but they are blurry. So I'm doing the other way around. Here are some pics of W580 with RDS.
@tranced: I get averything with K750 too: name, time etc. I think it's the radio station.
presenting:
artist (I think)
name of the song:
radio frequency:
radio station name (Z rock & pop):
the time (you can check with the phone time next to the battery indicator)

Great Work mcrosser ! Can i request you to shoot a video and upload it to You-tube with the tags RDS and Sony Ericsson coz still there are no such type of videos. You have shown that Non UIQ also supports most of the tags so this video becomes important where everyone will see how different types of data are being supported. Please if you can. Happy New Year to all .

Hi Sandhu , but Mantra is available in many cities like Agra. Can you be more specific. I hope you would take a picture of your mobile so we can see RDS in Action in your city. Also please write about the information you see on screen. We are waiting....
