I see but I am not taking it for this kind of business use,its more because I want a all in one phone!
God! why SE designers choosed RED color for the keypad font??? it's so ugly! if only they kept the the beautifull white look of the M600
The W960 doesn't enter my budget,it's way too expensive

@ Offliner
NO! Not everyone wants a QWERTY board and/or Touchscreen on their Smartphone. A phone with an OS makes a Smartphone.
@ Vegetaleb
If you want an ALL-IN-ONE device then the N95 is what you should go with forget P1 you dont even like how P1 looks so leave it. Get the N95 and update it to v20 FW and you will have great Multimedia Smartphone WAY better than P1 for Multimedia and most other things.

the battery life is TERRIBLE on the n95!! (the reason i got a rid of it) and build quality is not the best (wobbly slide)
and it took terrible pics ( see this photo )
good things about the n95 are music quality and the dedicated 3.5mm jack for headphones is good
the p1i is nicer and is easier to use (because of qwerty keypad) but the green tint on photos is Kinna annoying (sorted by f/w update? i wouldn't know because dips**t here got a vodafone one ). with p1i you WILL have to use both the touchscreen and keypad!
the music is good (IMO) if you get a hpm-70 pair of headphones (the ones that come are sh**e)
EDIT:
then again, ive only had the phone since Friday and the phone is on the BIG side compared to the Motorola pebl and k750i ive been using.
heres a pic comparing it to the pebl (taken with k750i)
it really depends what YOU want out of a phone.
oh and if your looking for battery life... the k750i is the phone for you

for me P1, once styletap for symbian is released P1's touchscreen will be fully utilize Palm apps much better than N95's S60. one thing that was very rarely mentioned when comparing S60 vs UIQ capabilities was the Java. in UIQ, Java applications have far more robust accessibility than S60 with it's CDC profile unlike the latter which only supports CLDC |

That's something I really wonder. I hardly use any Java applcations at all. That's an old habit from my P900.

I have P1 and it is fantastic. Fast, reliable, pocket sized which makes my life so easy, touch screen and qwertz perfect for business use and text input of any kind, battery life very good, a real beast when it comes to multitasking, very nice apps for different needs, good camera (I am in Egypt right now and took hundreds of pics, will post some), connectivity superb-use wifi b all the time without problem. At this moment I simply don't need anything better, maybe in a year when new P5 comes out. |

You can use Fring for MSN (if you looking for a free prog) or Agile messenger or IM+ if you're happy paying.
No, S60 SIS cannot be installed on the p1. |

LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY FOR YOU...
the first time i used a p1 i had my n95 in hand and i was deperate to swop it for the p1 lol mainly because the n95 basically only has the gps advantage and yet the gps is sheet!camera is not so far of except maybe for the video.
i also never liked the pics of p1 but in reality it's a much nicer phone than n95 simply because it feels solid top quality.(this is how a premium device should be imo).
p1 is a true smart phone...try running ten apps on a n95 and you'd cry.(p1 can probably handle twenty!lol)
n95 is simply the best multimedia phone trying to be smart.

I can atest the P1 is solid. It slipped from my hand while placing it in the pocket and it jumped 4 times on tarmac untill it stopped unharmed. WOW! 8-0
The front is aluminum and it's really strong.

Hi all,
Well some here are obviously seriously out of touch with reality as the OP has stated he is more interested in Media functions and not business.
So the choice really is much easier the build problems and battery problems and even the camera have been and continue to see improvements so all those complaints are nothing but SE fans trying to find faults that no longer are present.
Also one device has the most powerful processor still found in any Symbian Smart phone a DSP chip and a full graphics processor as opposed to the lite version found in the P1 along with the now very old Nexperia processor that was first announced and used in the original UIQ3 phones the only updated in spec is 64mb of extra Ram and some extra badly needed shortcuts on the home screen. Otherwise the P1 is all old tech no 16m colour screen ,no VGA video recording, no HSDPA, no WiFi g and despite what some may want to belief the P1 is neither more stable or has a greater battery life any longer.
To put it simply if you are blinded by only one device manufacturer and it has to be SE you have no choice, but if you are open minded and can choose a device by what it can do for you the N95 is a great choice and even better with the latest firmware.
Marc
