Buying K850i ? |

I have a K810i and am relatively happy with it. I would consider the K850i but from what I've heard, its full of bugs and lacking in quality. Not saying thats the case but thats what I've heard  |

my k850i doesnt seem like it is built to well the plastic keypad thing around the buttons is coming off and it sounds really plasitcy when im txting, i used to drop my k800 all the time but the k850i seems like one drop and it could be curtains for it |

In your case after reading about having to wait a week for servicing it, I recommend against buying it. The thing is in the Uk, if you get a faulty one, your network replaces it right away. My first K850i had too many faults, i reported it faulty and two days later I have a new one delivered and give the faulty one back. The second one I got is working 100% fine. |

Mines working fine. Didn't experienced that much bugs and dusts, only had 2 resets using the media. It's almost 1 month to me now. As I came from a K810, I can safely say that the camera is better (both quality and the interface). And before K810, I tried the N95 coming from a K800. I didn't like the photos from the N95 so I swithed back to SE. Plus the slider construction, supershort battery life and frequent hangs irritated me. K850 should be a great buy but if your considering W960 also, just wait for it and compare.

guys when i buy k850i shud i do any thing to find the phone is genuine any code like that ? or something like #060* like that ? |

Hey,
While purchasing first make sure you tell the dealer that YOU will open the case,
1. Make sure the entire box is plastic sealed.
2. Inside make sure that there is a 3-D hologram stuck,carefully see the entire box and check if it is brand new.
3. Once you insert the SIM card press *#06# and note the IMEI no. and check if it correspondes to the number given outside.
4. Press >*<<*<* and check the total call time

How is w910i build quality is it good can i go ahead and buy that help me guys,does it also have firmware issues ? |

Well i bought my K850i from CPW Last week and 2 b honest i don't have any problems with the phone at all (it's blue one with O2) So yeah had it for a week now and no problems. So my advice will be GO FOR IT ! Get ur self K850i |

K850 is a nice phone. In my opinion, they've brought back the concept of integrating the "cybershot" and the "walkman" brands much like the K750 and the W800.

Im almost done convincing myself of getting this phone. The only reason why i would choose this over the sexy w910 is because of the led and flash. |

hello guys today i went to sony shop and had a hand on the k850i, hmm now only i got to know why all are saying k850i is bad, yes its little bit doggy and slow, reaction is very slow,i couldnt judge the camera because iam rookie,but the working of the phone is not that good,its not upto the mark,i dont think new firmware could do the justice to the phone,sony has to bring new k850i 2 newly with new hardware.
saw w910i also yeah its good it has all features what k850i has, camera is also good in the day, working is very smooth, keypad surely it will take a week to handle it properly,other than phone is good.
I dono what is sony ericsson doing without solving the problems of k850i,iam a new fan of this Esato forum i read all post daily without fail i could see only the problems of k850i i think users of this forum can write a big bug report to sony. |
