Put something between the battery cover and. .the stuff inside... like a piece of cardboard... if you can, that is.

CAUTION: Cardboard may ignite.. although I'm not sure whether the phone gets so heated.

"For a premium priced phone, K850 build quality should be impeccable. Why the heck should anyone need to stuff a piece of cardboard to fix problem is really downright inexcusable for SE. With the creaking and loose case and dust under screen/lens, everyone stay clear of K850" ... irony irony...

although i do agree with you, as masseur said some where eariler, (not directly quoting, but put short) many phones suffer the 'creak' or some sort of build flaw! A couple of my had it, motorola's ive owned, (flips were shocking!) nokia (n95, slider, had quite a few of these, not one had a good slide, all were wonky, shame though, did like the phone, oh, note this is also a premium device which people paid top dollar for, intro price was much higher than that of k850, so please dont go saying things like irony irony...)

Mine creaks, but it's no worse than any other SE I've owned, nor is it worse than other brands of phones. Plastic on plastic will creak. [addsig]

Many lamented that the N95 slide wobble is inexcusable for a premium phone. Applying the same, I am saying that the bad build quality of K850 is inexcusable. It is even more unforgivable of SE because K850 is devoid of any high-end features like wifi, gps, tv-out, stereo speakers, big screen and smartOS as in N95 and yet cost as much as a N95. So K850 is absolutely a bad buy.

doesn't change the fact that BOTH phones (and many others) have certain build flaws

Definitely. If big huh-hah is made about N95 slide wobble (which is all over the place in threads involving n95), then K850 poor build quality should not be downplayed. Otherwise, it just made a complete farce of the criticisms of N95 wobbly sliders (and of those who made them).

My k850 makes a kraaack/gnraak sound if I press on the backside of the phone. Should it be like that or should i contact SE/the company that sold the phone to me??
