Good battery, new UI,blah blah blah...read a review or just look at Samsung G800.
I might buy the G800 in exchange of k850i(because it has so many bugs)...or i will wait for a new firmware.

I personally could NEVER got to a Samsung UI - it just doesn't make sense! Especially after using SE for a while. I'm still able to handle a Nokia UI but don't like it, Samsung's is just disgusting... And I find the phone rather ugly.

I have been a long time SE lover, but I was thinking lately, what does the K850i really offer to it's userbase besides a great camera?
Does anyone have any recomedations for me? Or does anyone else share my opinion on the K850i?
Look at nokia 6500 classic. Sounds right for you

If your not going to use all the features then there are other phones out there that might be better suited to you. Look at whats most important to you and pick the right phone. You dont always have to the latest and greatest if your not going to use it all.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

The K850 offers Accelerometer , A new JAVA Interface , and the 5 MP Camera ... etc.
But mainly the 5MP is important. If you don't really want to use the camera , then i suggest you to buy some other cellphone , such as 6500 Classic or W880 since they both are Slim and cool-looking ... |

1 week later and no obvious bugs for me. Menu as fast as K800. Prefer the joystick to the D pad (fiddly) but would not go back (and I could because I still have it) |

Well obviously you and some others are lucky and have no bugs, but with all the post's on the Forum with people saying they have bugs and some of them quite serious i don't see how you can say there are no problems.
Also with some saying they are so bad that they are sending there phones back it really is a bit hard to say they are all perfect as the facts don't agree.
It seems just like the P990 and P1 some are all good and everything works as they should and others have lots of problems, how or why this possible is the big question but this is what's happening.
@Martyn1989
As said by others if you have a Digital Camera that you always have with you it does seem a bit pointless to get a very expensive Flagship phone whose main selling point is a camera. If you are an SE fan there are still lots of phones to choose from that will cost you less, why pay so much for a camera phone if the Camera is not important to you. As someone said the W880 is a very thin Walkman phone and much cheaper.

I have to ask - is the dpad actually better than a joystick? Surely it is inferior when it comes to playing games. |

I made the switch to a k phone with the K850 from W850 and later W880 and I'm pleased to say that the K850 surprised me in many ways! first of all I was expecting a mediocre media player, but to my surprise the media player 3 interface is the best I've seen in every phone that I have encountered up to now. th other good thing about it is a2dp headphone support that previous models lacked. i'm using it with HBH DS970 and the sound quality is the same with current w phones.
also I don't have to deal again with the unacceptable camera quality that the w phones offer. I've shot some great pics from parties in near darkness and my friends find it difficult to believe that the pics came from a phone.
the only problem i found is the size of the phone. but compared to similar spec phones, it's fine. once you get the grips with it, you'll love it. i have been using it for 2 weeks now and i experienced no problem with it. no bugs whatsoever. even if some people are insisting that there are plenty. |

Well, the biggest drawcard (apart from the camera) is a very good media player.
It's not just - it includes a great new way to view pictures (with a nice slideshow), videos, and music with album art. All within a nice media 'centre' with pretty nice eye candy.
It's really like having a and Cyber-shot in one. phones only offer ShakeMe and SenseMe in comparison.

Actually All JP-8 based phones have music player 3.0 + Megabass and the XMB media manager

seems good
that means only real difference in the multimedia area of w910 and the k850 is the shakeMe (as shaliron puts it) feature |
