@Dogmann
VOIP enabled and VOIP client (in the case of P1) are two different things. |

Whichever one it was a big deal of it was made on announcement and then all mention of it disappears and Optimobile was mentioned by name so no i don't accept your argument that it meant VOIP enabled they said a VOIP app.

There is no need to use a screen protector. You just have to be carefull not to put anything else but your phone in your pocket... if you do..use a ipod socket and thats enough. Personally i hate screen protectors... i cant see a thing under direct sunlight and the screen colors be like crap |

The back is fine, though I can't imagine it will stay like that. Will be interesting to see how it looks in 3 months

Like I say, it's only VERY light. It took me a good 3 minutes to find it to take a picture of it.
if its taking you 3 minutes to find it, is it really something to be worrying about? |

Below is the pressrelease of P1. Point me out where "VOIP app" is mentioned.

That's the whole point when they announced it was there and on their Website then by launch no app and no mention of it., But this is way off topic and very old news that only a few like you are still in denial over. Who cares it happened it's just another case of how SE acts no big surprise any longer really just like what the P990 white paper said and didn't deliver, actually that counts for nearly everything SE said about the P990 and didn't deliver.

I'd just be very carefull with it. My old S700i featured 'scratch-resistant' glass, which turned out to be toughed plastic, which coped well enough.
However, if it says scratch resistant I wouldn't interpret that as giving me the go ahead to be any more careless with my lovely new phone.
I'd get a good body-glove for it, to keep its resale value up.

No phone is truly scratch resistant, whatever the maker says.

fring works fine on the p1i so why would we need se to produce their own voip app? |

Agree 100%. I've never seen a "scratch resistant device" that was actually scratch resistant when the wrong substances hit it.
Glass has a hardness of 5.5, quartz a hardness of 7, saphire a hardness of 9, diamond has a hardness of 10. So a true saphire screen would be pretty hard.
But polycarbonate plastic is softer than even glass so any kind of crystaline material in the lint in your pocket (quartz is common in soil and dust) half a mm or larger in diameter, could cause massive damage to any kind of screen save a saphire one.
This is exactly the reason I keep my phone in a case.
