according the fact, that many of us got friends here, we like to chat about privat things, what arent for the public. as mentioned above, we are here mainly to discuss mobile related infos, news, experiences etc out every day private things would fit the real mission of easto, so its better to keep it in the background, so we use pm for it.

. . . I'll answer for Boba: PM is very IMPORTANT, specially in a country like United Kingdom wherein it is being administered by a - PM . . . like those of : Thatcher, Major, Blair and now . . . Brown !

look, when i came here first, i started to post my opinions about mobile fones, with the time i met here members every day and sonner or later we started to chat via pm ( like hows your day, whats up in family etc ) u see? i guess u dont walk along the street and stop ppl saying : lets be friends...
u met ppl from time to time in the real life and if there is a link among u and the person, there could be a friendship if it is...
so join esato, share with us your opinions, mabye some of us wanna know u better, and u ll get pms. but dont force naything, that leads to nowhere...

i dont think its a reason for ban, but imo members could take it as spam or / and can get annoying. once again, if u are only looking for friends, there are so many sites on the internet, focused on relationships, so if u have no interest for mobile fones, look for those sites imo

I don't get any of those PM's. Apparently you should have at least 500 posts.
I think you should delete your posts if you don't want to get those PM's

I don't think there should necessarily be restrictions on PM's for newbies; people should police thier own behaviour to at least the standard of behaviour they require of others. If there are serious concerns, you can simply choose not to recieve PM's from that member or report them to a Mod.
