I had an issue when connecting to my Router (3Com). It seemed the issue was obtaining an IP Address if WEP encryption was on. I gave my phone a static address for my connection and all was fine. Could be worth a try. |

I remember when I tried to surf the web for the first time on P1i was impossible. After got the last update for it through PC Suite the problem was solved. |

If you can browse your routers settings then you are connecting and everything is OK on that side - you are connected to your access point and wifi is actually working correctly. Make sure that in the connection is listed in the internet group. Control panel->connections->internet accounts->groups tab click internet group->
1>click add new account
2>select wifi account
3> click done
4> click save
5> click done
open opera and try to open google.... making sure your router is seeing the internet OK first!
Hope this helps

Just do a scan from the wlan dialog then select the open network and click connect.
With wlan enabled you should be able to simply open the web and browse - any open networks connect automatically - or they should anyway. |

I had my P1 since monday. I really like it, more than my M600 but there's an issue about the most important feature that I've been missing a lot in my M600: wifi.
Now, the P1 is way better in every detail, even if i like the M600 look a bit more.
The wifi really makes the difference. The memory wap not an issue, due to my way of using the mobile.
But is there a good reason to explain why it took me a few hours to set up a working connection while it has been extremely simple to do it on a Nokia E51, HTC S620, Nintendo DS and Wii, a WinXP laptop, a MacBook and probably more?
There must be a good reason to disable my Belkin DHCP, using only static IP addresses...
Ok, now it's working and it's pretty much fast and stable as well.
I've been missing the SE excitement quite a lot... Very nice smartphone, but my Nokia E51 is a great phone too...
