the only one in this set that appeals to me is the shift and the more I read on the net about this final version the more interesting it sounds

but... the Samsung Q1 ultra is still apealing to me in this category and I'm going to have give it it some more thought before jumping in

yeah but notice their price of £910 vs Clove at around £790 which seems more reasonable for this

if any of you decide to ditch the kaiser after upgrading to something else HTC then please let me know!

J273; Very interesting point regarding activation (hacking) of the gps at a later point. That would be a novel hack for sure. I didn't realise they were the same chipset until you pointed it out. Thanks!

Unless a miracle happens after today( ), I'll have to wait until xmas/January......

But I don't care...it's now got 40gb instead of 30, just keeps getting better!

Yeah not 100% sure its going to be possible regarding unlocking/activating the GPS chip.

As much as i love the kaiser....I'm not a great fan of the slidey out keyboard from the side....Id much prefer the design of the touch slide.

If it does turn out that the GPS chip could be activated at a later date..I think id defo dump the kaiser in favour of the touch.

If you have a sensible TV at home, it could easily replace a mid-range notebook, from the specs I've seen! And of course, that it can manipulate a sim card, opens a wealth of possibilties!

Hmmm, a partition with Linux...hmmm......

EDIT: 2 Days standby??? That's impressive......

exactly my thoughts!!!! a good tv (or monitor) maybe a bigger keyboard if needed and especially a partiton with LINUX! this device will be a killer - at least for my needs!
