Well the Google Maps I have is specifically for SE smartphones (or UIQ. I don't remember what it said on the download page). It is still Java though, but in contrast with the generic app, I can now drag the map with my stylus and have dedicated software zoom buttons.

Can you tell where from?
The version from www.google.co./gmm is not as you describe

Answering my own question
www.google.fr/gmm
This version is in English, it's full screen with zoom facility etc

Cool. I just downloaded this aswell. Pretty similar to the S60 version and does all the same stuff.

When I try to download googlemaps it says: can not read the JAD file. Why??

And does anybody know a good divx player for the p1I

i downloaded google maps from www.google.fr/gmm and the version was awful for my p1i


so i think i went to www.google.co.uk/gmm (on my phone browser)and it gave me a version for uiq3
which is alot better to use and works perfect

also i got a divx player from www.divx.com

or http://m.divx.com/divx
