Go for K550i ...the UI is more slick and responsive and the camera quality is quite good if you get the lighting and settings correct

if i would choose between the two, i will go for k750. it has a better camera. k550 doens't do justice to its cybershot branding. since its a poor man's cybershot, and also to accommodate the slim profile, the camera sensor used in k550 is smaller compared to k750. result? worse performance in low light conditions, indoor shots. as in grainy, grainy noisy shots. twilight mode doesn't help either. but on the brighter side, k550 supports more audio, video formats than k750, has more internal memory, has EDGE. on the other hand, k750 besides its spectacular cam, supports the cheaper memory stick pro duo, has mega bass.
you can also consider this a big consideration: JOYSTICK of k750. after sometime, the joystick wont give you joy anymore. hehehe

You should definitely go for K750i or W810i if you don't mind absence of the lens cover. That was the thing that made me buy K750i and not W810i when I bought mine because I don't like dust and dirt in the camera lens.. I miss my K750i, I'll probably buy another one, just to put it in my archive. On the other hand W810i doesn't have a joystick but D-pad which is better. My joystick was as new after one year of usage, maybe it was like that because I never played games on the phone, and threated the joystick normally.

Having had my W810 for a week now, and having used the K750 for almost a year before that, take my word for it, get the W810, it's worth the price difference. W580 and S500 have the keypad problem from what I've seen on Esato so far, and I personally do not like the K550, for the same reasons as you've mentioned. The K750 was great, I enjoyed every moment of it, but despite me taking great care of it, the joystick still started acting up after slightly under a year of usage. Get the W810, it's worth it.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. |

Thanks a lot guys..looks like we REALLY have a problem with the k550 pics, but I have heard that the camera module for k750 has been changed its really not the same phone that won the best imaging device before...looks like the w810 is the best choice... |

I recently bought the K550i and found the speaker volume during calls abominal.
Maybe K750 scores on this count. For those using the speakerphone to make calls through K550i, that's not the phone for them for sure !! |

I have been hunting a lot in the stores this week, this is what most stores salesman tell me:
1. No need to go for the W810 as the W700 & W810 have almost identical specs, infact the W700 is a better buy as it is very cheap compared to W810 and sound quality is good.
2. The k750 is also good but there are rumors that the camera module has changed, also the K550 has a lot of added features.
3. Only problem with the K550 is the keypad, there is a problem while typing SMS and the camera is no good in the dark.
So finally I have to decide between the W700 and K550.
Any K550 users please..please..is the phone good for daily usage..if it is I might as well go for the K550 |

Correct, no 4 x zoom on the largest picture setting & it takes rubbish pictures.
First generation non nobbled K750I take the best pictures & have 4 x zoom as well. |
