I have heard that after the new firmware v12, the GPS locking has improved.
All in all a very good phone though its price is too high.
Also look at the nokia N95 review thread

Hi, I have a Nokia N95, so I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can:
what is it free ram available for users ?
- Mine's currently in standby with nothing running, and I have 16.8MB.
does the camera work fine and take good videos??
- The camera is very good, and video recording is great. You'll probably hear from some SE users who will tell you that the N95 is nowhere near as good as the K800 or K810, but that's irrelevant. Regardless of which is better, the N95 still takes great photos. You can check out the thread of photos HERE.
battery life?how many days?
- It depends on what you do with your N95. If you play games all day, it'll run out before bedtime. If you use it sparingly, it'll last at least a day, maybe two. On a recent day out in London, I listened to music on mine all the way there, took photos in London (and one brief video), Used GPS for about 25 minutes, and then listened to music all the way home. When I got home, I had lost one bar. not bad.
how many gb maximum i can use with memory stick?
- At the moment, the largest memory card for the N95 is 4GB. I've got one and it's excellent. There will soon be 6GB and even 8GB cards available.
does gps works fine and google earth?
- GPS is something that you'll get mixed opinions on. Some people manage a lock on within a few minutes, while others will tell you it takes half a day. Personally, I've had mixed results. I've had a lock within 5 minutes, and other times I've given up after not getting a lock within 15. With assisted GPS though, the lock-on time is much faster. Using A-GPS, I've always had a lock within 2-3 minutes.
Hope that helps. |

regrading your questions;
1)I didn't check my n95's free ram yet sorry
2)camera is fine;sometimes it has autofocus problems (generally at night) but other than that good;video is awesome
3)battery life; it really depends on how you use it. From 1 day to 2,5 days, if you use gps, wifi mp3,games a lot 1 single day, if only messaging and calls why not 2,5 days
4) up to 4gb cards are used and ok, in the net you can even find info about 8gb cards ok.
5)my fw: is 12 and gps is very good and fast make sure nokia (smart2go) supports your country (mine is not fully covered so I can't use routing etc etc...)as far as I know only interaction between google earth and n95 is nokia sports utility. It can output google earth friendly files for seeing where did you go etc...
any other questions

All in all it's a nice all in one device...dont think there's any phone out now with so many features and it handles them all well above average.the video is something to behold!the gps should work for you if you only use it occasionally but for everyday use it's not so accurate and you might get frustrated...the cam is clearest i've seen and also more importantly it has big enough screen to enjoy the higher quality photos which i think the k800 lacks (that to me really spoils the experience on k800,as i mainly see my photos on my phone).batt averages up to two days but although in the first week it'll probably only last half a day!lol so be patient and it'll come right.i dont have a problem with the big blokia sign on the back cover.oh and if you hadn't played with it yet i'm sure you'll find it quite compact for such a powerfull device.
