I think all mobile companies would be silly if they didn't pick up on the good points of each others products.
Nokia famously made a huge mistake when it failed to capitalise on the great clamshell trend a couple of years back and Samsung and Moto were laughing all the way to the bank, so its important for manufacturers to pick up on these things.
The ultra-slim concept? Sony Ericsson was obviously responding to Samsungs slim phones with its W880i.
Samsung has cleaned up on the slider concept. The vast majority of its phones have been sliders for the past couple of years.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is dual front is like having the back side having enough "stuff" on it so much so that it doesnt look like a back side? If yes, then this particular nokia doesnt look like a dual front. There's a small flash, small camera module and speaker holes, which are present on almost all camera phones.

Thats what I am trying to avoid... Its nothing to fight on... I find this thread to be interesting...
These days there are many topics having fanwars... And though I don't post too much, I am trying to avoid fanwars atleast on this topic... |

Not exactly like having too much stuff at the back, but its like making the back look different from the front... Phone from the front and camera from the back... That's its... |

Whats the matter with you? You're telling us Nokia hasn't designed the N82 camera side to look like a compact camera? Its even designed with the camera button conveniently placed on the top-side so its easy to press when held in camera-mode. Hmmmmm T610?

No they havnt. It has the most basic stuff on it, flash and camera module. True dual front would be K810, K700 or K750 and this phone has nothing in common with those on the rear side.. But thats just my opinion.

What I find interesting, and what seems to be lost on the forum TROLL (that's you Plangatonasfawetfra gsdwaseragdf whatever), is that a whole new breed of phones are on the way. My loyalty (and money) goes with what works. If SE were to have a winning phone out there now, I would have it. No problem. I make enough money to buy what I want, when I want it, so these loyalty wars are sort of stupid. I just moved up to the E90. I will keep it a few months (maybe, if that long) then move on. If SE brings something good to the table then out comes the credit card, into my pocket goes the phone. All phone companies copy from each other. Some do it well (Nokia - better and better camera's), with some not so well (SE -old technology passed off as new, i.e. 802.11B, no HSDPA). The coming months should bring phones that are pleasing to both sides of the war.

I do agree with the dual front concept thou yes Nokia and other manufacturers did 'copy' it from SE, Nokia N95, N73, N80, 6630 etc do have it,but it looks to me like Nokia are trying to change that with the N93 and N93i camcoder phones

Amen to that! I don't see why people are so ashamed to admit that companies copy from each other. For christ' sake, whats the big deal?
