So why would any manufacturer wait until November for an announcement??

It would have been funny if they re-surrected the CAR-100 with a fastport connector. It's sad that there are no phoned left wtih the old connector. |

Too premature, I guess.  still have W970/980/990 to use. In P990 case, they didn't have P1000 to put in. Z1010 is a big blunder.

N81 imo will not be a fierce competitor... having 2mp cam and a lousy color combo of marine blue and black... 
why would you fuse marine blue with black? yes its contrasting colors but it just doesnt work like black and orange?!

The P990i was demonstrated at this show in 2005 and SE was a headline sponsor.
With no current new models to be demonstated there is a good chance any announcement made before then will be demonstated here.
 is a headline sponsor again this time around so hopefully they will have something up their sleeve.

I see, goldenface that's why P1 is announced at May 8 and become available on July. in order to complement for the release of it's new smartphone sucessor(since 3 months is already long for the P1 to sell as much as it does imho). since May is a non typical ritual for SE to release a supersmartphone because they typically announce highend smartphones during the smartphone show(P900,P800>P990) or at july(p910).
i'm pretty sure the new SuperSmartphone P-series with Flip, new CPU and OS will be announced that time just like the announcement of UIQ 3 and P990
