I'd rather have a P990 than an iPhone
No need to wait any longer. The P990 is very cheap these days.

it seems strange that various people in this thread are trying to diss the iPhone by claiming that it was because its good result was due to being compared to moto, when in actual fact in another study it was compared to 8 different brands including moto, nokia, samsung, and SE.
it's worth noting that SE came last in terms of customer satisfaction

You really are showing exactly what sort of petty biased individual you are as yet again are quite happy to try and put words in my mouth. The situation arose that you again wrongly claimed i don't praise any device other than Nokia. When pointed out that i had praised both the Motorola Q9 should it eventually get released in the UK and the V9 as i think this looks like a good device you are now suggesting i am Moto fan and just hate SE.
You really are doing a great job of showing what a sad and deluded individual you are and the best advice i can give you is seek professional help because it really does look like you are in serious need of some.

Back on topic all does not appear as rosy as some are painting here as it does appear to be numerous problems with some iPhones many people are now on their 3rd or 4th unit and some seem prone to getting extremely hot and on others the touchscreen has started to malfunction. Now before any one starts claiming i now hate the iPhone or am bashing it i am only reporting on what i have read elsewhere, as smart a device as i think the iPhone is any device that is going to require my signing up to a 2yr contract is never going to be of any interest to me, and that's not saying it may not be great for others just not for me is all.

In the first paragraph says : "The results are in from the latest ChangeWave Alliance survey of 74 Apple (AAPL) iPhone owners".
So the chart is the result form only 74 participants, who own iPhones.
Fourth Paragraph : "To put this in perspective, in our most recent consumer cell phone survey we also received satisfaction ratings on the other leading cell phone manufacturers,...".
The Participant is limited only to their consumers.
So what is your opinion?

I am no iPhone fan, but its not that bad...
Plus, there are so many apple fans..i read somewhere that at the Apple Convention somewhere, ppl started lining up before sunrise!
Such dedicated fans...obviously the iPhone will make sales...how many ppl would look at specs? It looks good, works good, they'll get it..
We are high end users looking for great specs, which the iPhone sadly lacks..so we wont evr like the iPhone, but die hard Apple-enians will get one ASAP!
no offence to anyone!

mobile-review has been under a DoS attack since the past few days, apparently due to an unfavorable review Eldar posted on the iPhone.
Seems that the phone attracts a radical following.

I am an x employee of AT&T and sampled the iphone long before it launched, at a marketing meeting.
I was only impressed with the video playback, very crisp and sharp.
Almost like a mini plasma.
Other than that....... I still have my W810. I'm not at all impressed with the phone overall.... I can get it for less than 50% off if I wanted it. Money is not an issue anyway.
I just can not understand the hype over this phone..... I do agree that many americans are drooling, because they are not as savvy with cell phones as Europeans and Asians.
Another thing...... I'm picky about putting smudges on my screen......
As for me......... W810 with a 4GB Card =
iphone rocks... |

I'm not sad, just angry. And what words in your mouth? I never said you praised nothing but Notia, I said you praised nothing but Motorola.

Well Apple is a charismatic company - huge loyalty. Sorta like SE, but somehow Apple manages to do even better when it comes to fanboys/girls.
So if Apple does something silly, it can be excused because, well it's Apple, and they're supposed to do everything perfectly... so it creates bias. That's their marketing strategy anyway. Very effective.
Add to that the fact that 'high tech' in America is the Blackberry (I mean technically it isn't anything special) and their constant need for moto flip phones or something gimmicky to keep their interest, and the iPhone is the perfect product for their market.
Gotta say, even I get affected by the Apple loyalty factor. Just seeing and reading about their computers and OSes makes me hate Windows

@NightBlade
Actually although that is true as to how it ships there are many hacks already available that allow you to do all sorts of things with the iPhone. In fact this is why i am now considering getting one as fancy a good challenge which both S60 and UIQ no longer offer due to Symbian's newly implemented security as whilst you can add plenty of apps they either have to be Symbian signed or have limited functionality. From the little research i have done it does appear there is lots of things that can be done with the iPhone including getting it to work with non AT&T Sims. If and when i manage to get hold of an iPhone i will explore exactly what is possible and review all the possibilities in full.
