tell me how many updates did T68(i) took for him to make his menusystem a little bit "easy" to use?? NOKIA 7650 had the faster menusystem from the beginning, no Updates needed! going thru the menusystem of a SE phone is like surfing with 56K Modem!

Symbian Series 60 is the best in the market! i don't say nokia is better than SE but i say 7650's menu is waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy much better than T68 !!

Using nokia is like riding a bicycle?? SE like learning to drive a car? well maybe you're right but imagine: i'm already riding the bike and i'm almost at my goal and you're still learning to drive a car!! who's faster?

When comparing the Nokia and Ericsson menu interface you have to compare handsets with handsets and not handsets with smartphones.

BTW I wouldn't say that the 7650 has the Nokia interface. Nokia 7650 should be compared to P800 and the Treo smartphones.

If you compare Nokias standard menus with Ericsson menus Ericsson wins easily. It has a much better structure than Nokia. Since the T28 Ericsson has had a better menu structure (although the T28 is slow as hell). Nokias menu structure was good a few years ago, but today they really sucks. Too much functions with no overview.

i like the T68 menus a lot better than the nokia menus (includin that of the 7210) but i havent used a 7650 before so cant compare with that. samsung menus make me - theyre crap, hard 2 use and quite frankly useless!

Well it hard to say as it depends on what range, well if its a tp end phone i have to say nokia 7650 , but if it in a average range id say the t68i , very impressive.(purely because of its use with the Joystick.)

I prefer the Windows XP menusystem.

@faca
You can't compare the 7650 and the T68 directly because they have different display size available for navigation elements.

@Raikee

Yes Nokia has no overview.... They just show one icon at a time, it's such a waste of a nice screen...

And 7650 uses symbian and not Nokia menus...

If you guys want to compare menu systems this way, why not throw in the 9210 and the P800 AND the Pocket PC Phone Edition for good measure?

Just for the hell of it, throw in the Treo and Motorola (the touchscreen flip phone) too.

I think the menus are all about the same now. Nokia or SE, after playing around with the menu for few mins, it is very easy to use. HOWEVER... SE needs to work on a faster menu.

I've migrated from a Nokia 8290 to the SonyEricsson T300 and I think the menu systems are just about the same navigation wise, except I like the shortcut menu on the T300 and how all the extra features that I got (WAP, GPRS, MMS, Email, color screen, themes, pictures and sounds) made no difference in how hard the navigation was.

However I preferred the speed of the Nokia system, at times I think the T300 just crashed and I'm ready to get the blue screen. (try looking up an MMS template then deleting it then canceling the deletion and getting back to the main menu, 30 second chore at least)

So I think the two phone's navigation and menu system is quite intuitive and similar nowadays but I definetely miss the speed of the Nokia.

HOWEVER..... Until Nokia starts making tri-band phones that are decent I would not even consider their products ever again! It is pathetic how they make two different phones, one for Europe/Asia and one for North America. So no Nokia for me for a LONG time, it is not a true world company.........
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
