I got the file and when i install it the green bar stops at like just over 3 quarters of the way.

there is 2 windows open when installing, "Sony Ericsson PC Suite" and "Sony Ericsson PC Suite - InstallSheild wizard".

the wizard is the one that stops at 3/4 through and the other window just keeps going from 0% to 100% over and over. it is a green bar too

I stopped the install first time and tried again and it just done the same again - stopping at 3/4 through.

please help

I first had a problem with this under Vista x64. Turns out that I had connected the phone previously. Going into the device manager and uninstalling the phone fixed it. Just re-plugged the phone after that and all drivers started installing.

I did have Data Execution Prevention turned on, but the driver from SE didn't like that one bit. Turned it off for no-essestial services and restarted. Everything seems to work now.

I'll have to find out which executables to exclude specifically so I can turn DEP back on...

I just wanted to share ith you guys my excellent experience with PC Suite 2.10.34 for Windows Vista.

I have an Acer 4520G Turion 64 X2 and while it is 64-bit, I decided to use Windows Vista Business 32-bit due to the lack of real 64-bit applications.

It works very well and I'm very pleased with the results.

Yesterday, I installed PC Suite 2.10.34 for Windows Vista, and while the K750 drivers "official" support is mentioned to be sometime in August, I have it running perfectly since last night.

After installing the PC Suite, I connected the K750 via USB cable and Vista starte looking for the drivers. I inserted the K750i CD that came with the phone and Vista installed the drivers.

Everything is working great, and this new PC Suite is A LOT better and organized than the previous one I used (version 1. something)

Do those of you having problems have a serial and/or parallel port in your PC ? I'd guess not from what I've found. Open device manager and see if you have a PORTS (COM and LPT) section - if you haven't then you need to add one: go into control panel, add hardware, next, install from a manually selected list, DOUBLE CLICK Ports (COM & LPT) - select standard types in the left box and Communications port in the right hand box. Click next and continue until the end of the wizard.

If you've already installed the PC Suite, and drivers, connect your phone - it should now be detected. If you haven't go ahead and install - your phone should be detected and the drivers installed when you first connect it - you may need to disconnect and reconnect it to then be recognised.

When it's working open device manager and remove the phoney device you added from the Ports section.

It seems as though SE have forgotten to allow for motherboards which are all USB when writing their software and it doesn't or can't create the necessary entries in device manager correctly.

(Working with my K800 and PC Suite 2.10.34 - I will try my partner's K850i when she gets back home)

Blast ! Didn't go as well as I thought - now CAPI Helper fails when I remove the phone, rather than when I attach it

I've tried running epmworker.exe (the CAPI helper executable) in compatability mode (XP, 2000) but it doesn't help so I've given up and uninstalled PC Suite yet again. It's rather disconcerting that Kaspersky IS 6 thinks there's a trojan in the uninstall routines - it's warning noise goes right through me - I'd be happier if that didn't happen.

So, it does look like it's a Sony Ericsson problem, rather than a Microsoft one - anyone any idea how to get in touch with someone relevant in SE to get this resolved ?
